COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Brown Ale style originated in the pubs of England, where beer drinkers desired a beer that was both flavorful and complex, but at the same time mild enough to be a session beer. The Santa Fe Brewing Company's interpretation of this style uses a combination of high mash temperature, hard water, and low-alpha acid hops to produce a product that is both true to the style and distinctly Santa Fe. Brewing jargon aside, Santa Fe Nut Brown Ale is an easy-drinking beer, mild, smooth, and always a favorite. Try a keg at your next party! Malts: 2-row pale, 30-37 l. Carastan, Chocolate Hops: Willamette

Dark brownish-amber pour with a thin light beige head that dissipates quickly to a wispy film. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted nuts and malt. Light-bodied with a roasty character and flavors of grainy malt and nuts. Slight hops in the background. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Average all around.

Pours clear light brown color. Zero head with minimal bubbles no lacing. The faint smell of toffee and a hint of toasted bread. Taste is sweet and mineral like. Body is weak bordering. on light. It goes down smooth but not to much flavor to it. I used to drink this beer alot. Seems like it changed over the years. Pretty much average.................... : (

Bottle. Pours a hazy brown with a finger of off white head. Settles quickly with minimal lacing. Aroma is nutty, malty, alcohol. Flavor is malty, nutty, caramel, very mildly roasted, reminds me of malt liquor. Soft carbonation, medium body, and smooth texture. Drinkable, light, nutty. Not a ton to say, but a decent brown ale.

on tap - brown pour with nice frothy head. Nose is toasted almonds and biscuit. Taste is toasted nuts and roasty malts with a hint of raisin and nougat. Mouthfeel is slick and a bit soapy with hop resins leading in a well balanced, lip-smacking finish. Tasty, sessiony brown ale.

Bottle. Poured a clear brown color with medium head. Good aroma of hazelnut, some caramel. Taste is earthy at first swig , then gets more nutty and sweet. Slight vanilla hints. Good stuff, could get a six pack of this.

Beerenberger (791) - Fischer, Texas, USA - FEB 3, 2013
Aroma of toasted malts with hints of nuts. Pours a transparent brown with a rapidly dissipating tan head and no laciing. The taste is similar to the fragrance. Toasted malts, a pleasing nuttiness, with caramel notes. Medium body with average carbonation. Overall, an enjoyable brown ale that I would drink again.

A solid if unexceptional brown. Some caramel and roasted malt notes with a slightly sweet finish.

A good session nut brown, could be a good step up for a not so crafty craft drinker. not a whole lot going on with the flavor but good brown ale you can drink a few of, for me thats a plus.

Pours an amber brown with an off white head and toasty aroma of roasted malt and caramel. Taste is of roasted malt and caramel, but light and slightly watery. Not a great brown ale
