4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Not that bad of a Marzen. Would prefer a wee bit more flavor. And here’s the odd thing -- gushes like a banshee when pouring into a glass, yet tastes a wee bit flat?

Beer #44 of NM 100. Grainy and bready. Kinda dirty tasting. Garbage flavor. Messy.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Very lagerish, not entirely unpleasant, but not memorable either. More cereal grain, than sweet malt. Slight malt finish.

I really hope I just got a bad batch/can. This is easily one of the worst octoberfest beers I have ever had. I love this style, but I would have rather had a Bud than this. Very little flavor, no life to the mouthfeel, and an odd metallic acidic aftertaste.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
On draft. Mild caramel nose. Sticky caramel flavor. Not much depth or complexity. Lingers in the mouth as sweetness.

3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: OCT 12, 2014 Aroma: Smells a little like sourdough. While pouring, the head sticks around for about a minute or two with plenty of carbonation bubbles rising to the surface. It has a nice orange color. Taste: Doughy taste with hints of sweetness. Mouth feel: Pretty thin with a little carbonation to tickle the tongue. The doughy taste lingers on the tongue for a while after drinking. It is a decent Oktoberfest. Would drink this again.

Santa Fe Octoberfest has a thick, off-white head, a hazy, orange-gold appearance, lots of bubble streams, and minimal lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of sour-dough bread crust, grain husk, and even soap (but, that can’t be right). Taste is of fairly sweet, sough-dough bread crust, a mild hop presence, syrup, and nut shell. Mouthfeel is medium, and Santa Fe Octoberfest finishes crisp and refreshing. RJT

"started out nice with an ample bready, toasty aroma, and a similar flavor. Hints of caramel sweetness as well. Lost me a little on the feel, which seemed a little thin and prickly compared to the flavor. OK."

Can into a goblet. Deep hazy orange pour. Slight white head with some moderate lacing. Aroma is sweet, caramel, roasted malt. Taste is overly sweet. Sticky orange, sugar, caramel....Not great. Not fun to drink.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Tap@brewery. Pours deep gold. Cereal, bread on the nose. Has body on the palate, but also diacytel big time. Overall, the diacytel eclipsed anything that was going on in this beer.
