COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Though it is not necessary to drink this beer out of a mug that is larger than your head while dancing to polka music and wearing your lederhosen, you will find this lager’s unbridled festivity difficult to resist. This ode to Germany’s classic fall lagers is as clean, clear, and quaffable as any that has ever weighed down the table of a German Beer garden. The crisp maltiness of classic Munich malt compounded with the delicious notes of Bavarian hops gives this clean-finishing beer just the right flavor for the end of the summer.

Can into a goblet. Deep hazy orange pour. Slight white head with some moderate lacing. Aroma is sweet, caramel, roasted malt. Taste is overly sweet. Sticky orange, sugar, caramel....Not great. Not fun to drink.

Tap@brewery. Pours deep gold. Cereal, bread on the nose. Has body on the palate, but also diacytel big time. Overall, the diacytel eclipsed anything that was going on in this beer.

Pours light copper with thin white head. Light carmel aroma. Smooth flavor sweet and light biscuit. Clean finish nice for the style.

Poured from bottle into snifter, total miss on this one…not surprisingly though. Next.

Pour is a cloudy amber with a small white head. Aroma is a decent bready malt. Flavor is more of that marzen malt with a little lager blandness. Finish is a bit watery but the malt kinda sticks with you after the swallow. An ok attempt at a Oktoberfest.

Pours an amber orange with medium carbonation. Aroma is sweet malt with not much else. Dry with a small amout of hops with medium body. Nothing special but not a terrible marzen.

i can forgive a place for putting out an Ofest the 1st week of august, hell, pumpkin beers are hitting the shelves too. i really like this style though. i had a real rough day of work, i’m looking for something to take the stress away. so this pours a very light copper with a head that is gone quickly. aroma is not pleasing, mildly skunked, with just a touch of caramel and that nice wet nickel smell that can promise pleasure or pain. malt backbone is a bit lean. expected a touch more sweetness. the hop flavor is right where i expected it, clean, and gentle noble hop flavor, but it still comes throug has too much due to the too low sweetness. light hints of cotton candy, but not enough.

Pours a clear amber/copper color with off-white head. Caramel malt, roasted malt, and some light hops on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes malty.

12 oz can purchased at Jack’s Discount Liquor located in Lenexa, Kansas. No date on the can, though presumably this is from last fall. The pour is a mostly clear golden copper with a 1 ½ inch light tan head. Nice retention. The aroma is toasted cracker malt, grass spiciness and a bit of floral sweetness. The taste is the cracker malt along with sweetness, which is more caramel than floral in the taste. Hint of cardboard oxidation. The grass character comes out in the longish finish. The palate is light to medium bodied with active carbonation and the grass aftertaste. Decent, even with the age.

Amber pour with a white head. The aroma has a lot of toffee malt in it with not too much else going on. The flavor is similar. I get some toffee and nutty notes as well as a hint of grapes. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
