Great Octoberfest Style beer. Great malty, traditional taste. Some hops but they don’t overpower the style. Clean finish. Relatively light on the stomach so you can drink a bunch without feeling bloated. One of my favorites at the Santa Fe Brewery. The only down side is that its seasonal and not year round.

12 ounce can thanks to MikedR. Thanks! Pours a nice, translucent copper color with a thick, velvety head of orange tinted white foam. Looks good. Aroma is malty, carroty, nutty, cereal, touch of grassy hops. Taste is nutty sweet, bready in the middle, cakey in the finish. Very smooth mouthfeel. Really nice oktoberfest.

can. Rich copper color light body. A touch sweet, easy drinking yet has a bit of weight to it. It’s very pleasant. Nice carbonation, toasty, bread, buttery. Worth trying.

Poured from a 12 ounce can, thanks to Jim. This is a bready, caramel notes, grainy. This is a nice easy drinking fest beer.

I actually like Santa Fe’s canned offerings more than the bottles. Clear orange color. Smells like bread and a bit of alcohol. Tastes like a good marzen, some alcohol, some bread and a distinctive lager yeast flavor. I’ve gone through a couple sixers of this already and I might grab another before the season is over, not too shabby.

Clear reddish-brown with a thin off-white head. Funky aroma seems to be a combination of roasted grains and resinous hops, but with a mysterious twang. This brew is smooth and easy to drink. The flavor has a woody note, along with some mild herbal bitterness, while the main player is a toasty sweetness. Overall a nice version of this style. Solid, yet uninspired.

Draft @ brewpub. Proper copper-orange color is clear and bright. Sweet malty aroma is yeasty but spicy too. Very sweet, but the flavors are solid--with Demerara type sugars. Nice one, actually.

Draft at the source. Clear golden color. Aroma of caramel and straw. Taste is similar. Decent example of the style.
