COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Anything but a typical American Pale, Santa Fe Pale Ale is as full bodied as its most robust English counterparts, while asserting its American origin with a healthy nose resplendent with Cascade and Willamette hops. It finishes with a well-balanced combination of the subtle, almost Pilsner-like maltiness accentuated by the German yeast used to brew this Santa Fe classic, and a hop bite sufficient to leave a lingering smile on the face of any fan of American Pale Ales.

The aroma is subtle. Toasted malts, caramel, and some barnyard notes. Pours a hazy amber with a white ring and minimal lacing. The taste is fruity initially with biscuit in the middle and a little citrus kick in the finish. Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall, a ho-hum pale ale. Drinkable but not special.

Amber colour, light malty aroma. Taste is malty, with some zingy hops. Not too bitter, nice easy drinking beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is an interesting pale in that is is a combination of an English style and an American style. The malt characteristics are very English and it is a good base. The hop profile is definitely American. I canít tell where the yeast comes from but it seems more English. I am not really a fan of mixing regions or countries, so I do not love this beer, but its not bad.

Full flavor pale ale, aroma is quite malty at the nose and finishes with floral, spruce-flavored hops. Hop bitterness builds throughout. More full bodied and malty than typical American pale ales.

Taste comprises light hops, grass, citrus, pale malts, caramel. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, crisp clean finish. Entry level pale ale but drinkable.

It has a nice, cloudy color and a good jab of hops at the end. It's missing a little something as it's going down, though. This beer is the perfect reason why I got this app, it's a plenty suitable beer, just not horribly memorable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Drank much of this during a family reunion in Santa Fe--itís everywhere here. Itís OK but nothing special. A cloudy yellow beer with a thin off-white head. The flavor is sweet with some straw hops and grapefruit. Body is fairly thin with a hint of cardboard finish.

Tawny rufous. Gorgeously proportionate aromas of toasted piecrust, pecan, dark bread, potpourri, peach marmalade, lemon candy, honeydew, and a mixture of sulfury, dusty phenols. Suggestion of grass and uncured hay, as well. Tight, feathery carbonation. Bottle-conditioned. Seductively soft and well-textured maltiness deposits leather-tinged pecan skin and lightly toasted bread notes elegantly kissed with English toffee and a dusting of yeasty rusticity. Seamlessly integrated splash of spicy hops harmoniously parallels the sublimely rich and succulent core of vibrant esters, as a prevalent black tea punch deepens the pervasive saliva-inducing juiciness. Intricate, finespun malt demonstrates exemplary depth with its array of bouncy breadcrust- and tobacco-laced melanoidins. Finishes brightly tealike and with just enough zestfulness to add contrast to the silky, teasingly sweet malt. A review of this has been in order for quite some time as this has long been one of my everyday drinkers. A lovely albeit seemingly nondescript English-slanted pale ale, hence the low scores, sigh. An interesting notable: Outside of Oberfalz, this is the closest thing to zoiglbier I have yet to encounter. Zoiglbier tends to exhibit alelike marmalade qualities, and this is chockfull of zestiness and succulence, not to mention all of the malt detail one would expect from the finest examples from that lager-rich region. A fun beer this is.

Draft at the source. Golden color, cream colored head, solid lacing. Aroma of fresh grass and hay. Taste is citrus and grass. Tasty.

12 oz. bottle from a mixed six pack from Albertsonís in Taos. Pours a clear, bright orange-gold with a lasting cream-colored head. Aroma of soap, citrus peel, pale malts, pine resin, and straw. Flavor of pale and bready malts, straw, soap, metal, and dusty leaves. Light-bodied, with a mineral, metallic, stale mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Seems off.
