Anything but a typical American Pale, Santa Fe Pale Ale is as full bodied as its most robust English counterparts, while asserting its American origin with a healthy nose resplendent with Cascade and Willamette hops. It finishes with a well-balanced combination of the subtle, almost Pilsner-like maltiness accentuated by the German yeast used to brew this Santa Fe classic, and a hop bite sufficient to leave a lingering smile on the face of any fan of American Pale Ales.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with a lacing white head. Light hoppy citrus fruity aroma with a little spice note. Flavour holds a solid caramel malt flavour, sweet and with a little liqourice note. Ends with a lingering caramel malt and light spiced note.

Bottled. A murky golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of straw and grapefruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of dusty hops and fruits, leaning on being over ripe. The body is thin. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of KAggie97. Slightly hazy amber golden with a lively, off-white head. Aroma of fruit and a little caramel. Medium in body with lightly sweet caramel and a touch of fruit. Very subdued bitterness. A very mediocre APA. 260208

Hazy amber color. Aroma and taste have both some malt and caramel, with some light hop character at the end. Drinkable but simple.

Golden-amber and bright. The aroma is light, herbal and with a hint of caramel. Low to medium bitterness. Slightly earthy with caramel sweetness underlying. Not in the hop range I like in an APA.

Bottle from ericandersnavy. King of the SW traders. Thanks much. Pours a hazy peach color with a decent off-white head. Strange citrus hop mixed with grassy hop for aroma. Medium body with near creamy carbonation. Flavor: I’m getting some vanilla. I’m getting some light stone fruit. So where’s the malt? Eventually it shows up in a lightly roasted fashion. Turns a bit bready. This one is a standout. Finishes more bready. A pale ale with pils aspects? Now I read the descrip. This brewer is inventive.

Bottle poured a clear amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of carmel, light apricot and some citrus notes. Palate was light to medium bodied. Flavors of carmel, light orange and a hint of apricot with a crisp clean finish. Very drinkable beer, but nothing special.

A pleasant hoppy beer -- mild pine aroma; nothing overpowering, slight chewiness to it. It’s slightly more bitter as it warms up and in the aftertaste. Golden with minimal head.
