3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Gushing even from a can. Not nice! The beer is dark golden in the glass, floral nose. The beginning is smooth, a bit sharp and fruity due to the saison-yeast. The mainpart is peppery, fresh, refreshing and dry. In the aftertaste smooth, saison-peppery and yeasty.
Nice try on a saison, but not sharp enough in comparison to an original Belgium beer. --> 10/12/11/10

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pour is a hazy yellow with a average white head. Aroma is yeasty esters and a bit of citrus tartness. Flavor is more of the yeast esters with a bit of lemon grass and dull grain. Itís decent. You can tell they used a good yeast strain but itís a bit thin around the edges, although the lacing really sticks to the side of the glass. A starter saison maybe?

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours yellow / copper with a white head. The aroma has toasty malt, light saison earthiness, minor tartness, underripe fruits and some mushiness. It has a fairly light crisp body with lightly biting carbonation. The flavor starts with graininess, spicy / earthy saison notes, dry spiciness and light crackers. The finish is spicy and clean. Pretty decent and nice job for a line priced six pack saison.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Really boring saison. Crisp and easy to drink with light lemon, banana, clove, and biscuits. Overall needs more kick or something. The finish is very dry and watery. Average.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: FEB 18, 2014 The hazy yellow color sits below a large white head, and the brew is crisp and smells like Belgian yeast, sweet fruit, and light malts. The taste is a slightly sweet yet slightly sour flavor, and the palate has an average carbonation, light body, slick texture, and a light yet sweet finish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Santa Fe Saison 88 has a thick, soapy, white head, a clear, golden appearance, bubble streams, and a good amount of lacing left on the glass. Aroma is pungent, bready, sweet, and spicy, and the flavor is the same. The spice is hard to determine, however. Bitterness is low. The mouthfeel is medium, slick, and a bit soft, and Santa Fe Saison 88 finishes semi-dry, refreshing, and highly drinkable. Overall, I think itís one to try, if you ever see it. RJT

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from a 12 ounce can. The aroma is musty, there are some spicy yeast phenolics. The flavor is slightly sweet pilsner malt, a noticeable bitterness, hint of citrusy hops. Dry and grainy finish. This is a good saison, very refreshing.
