Muddy golden color; the bottle is a gusher, suggesting problems; big head, fizzy, but with some retention. An Ale with little qualities (aroma and flavor), with mild yeast character, and with light infection (and therefore sourness).

Flaska 33 cl. Honungsfärgad öl med vitt skum. Detta lägger sig snart och sen ser drycken ut som diskvatten. Inte aptitligt alls. Sura dofter från citrus och omogna gröna äpplen. Surheten återkommer i smaken, och där finns också en biton av något annat, något inte fullt så gott, något jag inte kan definiera. Men det är ändå en ganska fräsch smak, trots bitonen.

Bottle from Carrefour Madrid. Gold hazy body with thin head. Nose is very sour. Taste is sour, hoppy. Tart finish. Not so good.

Bottled@One Pint Pub, Helsinki. Total gusher warning, though the bartender was ready, the beer made a nice mess. Hazy golden colour, big foamy/fluffy white head. Aroma is citrus, mild wood, some sweet malts as well as mild grainy notes. Flavour is rather similar, but also has some earthy and yeasty notes to it. Quite rich carbonation.

Sweet, malty, red berries. Redcurrants, cherries.
Some refreshing sourness, but there is a throat lozenge feel that is not very pleasant.

750ml bottle. Gushing, and i´ve heard this is occurs so often. Cloudy orange, white head, non persistent, no lacing. Lightbody and fizzy and lively carbonation. Taste is some malty, sour and metalic. Not enjoyable.

La cerveza Santa Margarida la hace DeDues, cuya característica principal es que se hace con agua volcánica de La Garrotxa. Si la gama con el sello “DeDues” es la que hace cervezas más “especiales” la gama “Santa Margarida” intenta hacer estilos básicos más asequibles. Al parecer hay algún tema con Carrefour o algo así para venderlas pero no estoy muy seguro.
Al servirla apreciamos en seguida un color más bien turbio. Su aroma no destaca especialmente por nada, ni maltas ni lúpulos, es plana en ese sentido. El sabor, más de lo mismo, con un deje levemente metálico marca de la casa que no sabemos si será por el agua volcánica o por qué. Es astringente, o sea, deja la boca seca.
La espuma se le va en seguida. Al beberla, la burbuja pica o molesta un poco. De entrada la textura es suave, aunque luego acaba por serlo demasiado. Otra característica es que tiene mucho poso.
Es un intento fallido y de nuevo nos sabe mal decirlo porque con su fabricante hemos tenido trato y nos parece una persona muy agradable, en el caso de los artesanos al saber que no hay grandes millonarios detrás cuesta más hacer una reseña negativa, pero pensamos que estas cervezas salen más caras que la Mahou, se venden en grandes superficies, muchas veces son un primer contacto de la gente con las artesanales y acaban espantados, lo que repercute en todas las demás … “probé una artesanal que compré en el carreful y…”
