Deep golden maroon in color, Devilís Ale is defined by as delicious citrus hop character derived from Cascade and Centennial hops grown in the Pacific Northwest and balanced firm caramel malt flavor. Devilís Ale pairs wonderfully with salmon and pork (i.e. BACON!!) and goes best with sharp cheeses such as Cheddar and Colby. Arizonaís highest rated pale ale! 96 Points- Draft Magazine. 13.5į

Good hop complexity. Medium chill haze. Good tan head retention. Too biscuity on the palate. This would be an awesome session if it were a little lighter on the abv.

One of the best American pale ales around. Locally, its by far the best. No wimpy pale ale here, hoppy, dry, malty...its all there. I swear when I open a can, I hear the ferris buellers song "oh yea" playing in the background.

Can. Light orange amber with an average white head that recedes rapidly to a ring. Early aroma has prevalent pine and tea notes, but after settling its pretty much all toffee with just a hint of hops. Sweet toffee malt, lightly toasted, with bruised peach hop flavours, lightly earthy nuances. Moderately bitter finish. Nice enough.

Draft while on vacation in Sedona. Pretty standard APA. Citrusy hops. Caramel malt. Sessionable.

Flowery hops in the aroma. Taste starts flowery, with some metallic funk in the finish. OK at best.

Straight outta the can on the 4th of July. Solid balance of bitter hops and sweet malts. A real nice pale ale. San Tan is becoming my favorite AZ brewery!

UPDATED: OCT 3, 2014 @ Oskar Blues Burning Can Fest 2012. Dank hoppy aroma with some earthy leafy bitterness and some earthy toffee and some slight funky vegetal tone. Flavor was a little more tame and nuanced; some nice sweet pale malt starts the taste melding into some floral and slightly piney hop tones with medium bitterness, pretty subdued and balanced.

Appearance: Pours copper with visible rising carbonation. Small foamy tan head with foamy lacing.

Aroma: Classic cascade like dry hop aroma. A little fruity with very light caramel.

Taste: Hoppy bite out of the gate. Resinus pine and citrus combo. Dry pale malt, earthy notes. Finishes with quick bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, juicy. High side of medium carbonation.

Overall: A solid American Pale Ale, very close to a SNPA clone, which is nothing but a compliment. This was my first SanTan beer, and hope they have another Pale like this in regular rotation.
