3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can. Pours with a very mild hazed golden body with a small white head. Aromas are fruity, hoppy, citrusy, grassy, tangerine and oddly enough: a distinct raw celery note. Flavors are vegital, grassy, DMS, light cardboard (possibly hot side aeration type of thing or stale 2 row). Lively carbonation, dry, not particularly enjoyable.

Can. Nice and clear copper color with a small, but fluffy, white head. Pretty malty aroma which made me wonder if this was a bit faded. Lots of caramel with some citrus character. Not the greatest aroma, but by far not the worst for an IPA. Taste is also malty, but it is definitely still a pretty hoppy as grapefruit lingers long after each sip. Maybe a bit more malt heavy than I like in an IPA, but this is pretty good. Nice medium body, and fairly bitter.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
In short: A nice fruity/grassy/flowery amber IPA. Good beer
How: From a can at Mondial De La BiŤre 2012
The look: Cloudy amber body topped by a medium beige head
In long: Nose is a mix of fruity citrusy hops and fruity yeast esters along with flowery notes. This is an inviting aroma. Taste is a bit of a letdown. Decent toasted malt backbone, usual honey and caramel. In mouth the fruity/flowery hops of the aroma become astringent yellowed grassy and citric hops. Assertive bitterness. Full lively fluffy body. Overall this is a pretty decent IPA even if the taste didnít match the aroma. Few people have noticed it, but both Santa and Satan are only one Ďní away from being Santan, so think about it before you drink a beer from this brewery, and if you think about it very hard youíll eventually come to realize youíre pretty dumb to think about stupid meaningless shit like that.

Very dry, floral. Could use some more malt to back it up, but thatís my personal preference. With any beer that showcases a great amount of hops, there has to be some sweetness present. I donít really get much sweetness here so those hops, is a seltzer-like quality. Looks really good, though -- nice head retention.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draft at the brewpub. Presented with a nice reddish bronze color. It has an odd nutty twist to it, seemingly an almond thing even. I almost want to say itís salty! Another cleanly made brew, but only has a moderate body. (#4760, 8/5/2012)
