American Brewers have re-defined this traditional English Ale with an intense bitterness derived from the distinct citrus/pine character of Pacific Northwest hops. A dry, crisp malt character and aggressive alcohol make our I.P.A. a Hop-Heads Passion. 16.5°

UPDATED: SEP 2, 2013 4oz draft 9/1/13 (Copper Blues-PHX) Pours an orangish amber with a small head. Aroma of hops. Taste of pine and malt. This medium bodied brew is not too shabby.

Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, pine, citrus and grape. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long caramel, grape and pine. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Can. It’s a clear, dark golden to amber beer with a dense, off-white head. The aroma is on the hoppy side, with pine cones and orange peel, some maltyness. The flavor has a pleasant bitterness, with orange peel, grapefruit and pine cones. Unfortunately, all too weak for an IPA. Full body, soft carbonation, quite dry. Bitter, citrusy finish with some grapefruit. A pretty tasteful one, but it lacks the punch I’d want from my IPA’s. 130819

A dark amber ipa with a thin lacing mocha head. In aroma, very classic pungent floral hops over biscuit malt, nice. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with loads of floral hops, grapefruit pulp, resinous and intense, west coast like. No surprises here. On tap at Radisson PHX airport bar.

On tap at Westin Phoenix. Pours a dark clear amber with no head to speak of. Floral hops on the nose but that’s about it. Good bitterness and a long finish. Light to medium body with light carbonation. Very middle of the road iPA.

This was a solid IPA. A lot of dry bittering hops at the end with a good body. Solid hoppy IPA that I wish my wife hadn’t drank most of while I wasn’t looking. :(

12oz can. Looks amber. Aroma of citrusy and piney hops plus a pale/light caramel/slightly weird malt character. Flavor the same, with something off about the malts. Average texture. Not bad but could improve.

Medium amber. Medium white head, lasting with lots of lace. Aroma seemed muddled. Alcohol takes up too much space in the flavor profile. Sharp bitterness. Did not really care for..

Served cold, poured into IPA glass. Dark amber color with nice tan head. Lacing remained fairly consistent while drinking. One of the darker IPA's. Scents of lemon and grapefruit with some piney floral scents. Did not taste as much of the floral/fruit as I would have liked. Good bitterness on the back end. A great local brew, easy to take camping in the aluminum cans. Nothing spectacular but certainly a decent IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
