COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American Brewers have re-defined this traditional English Ale with an intense bitterness derived from the distinct citrus/pine character of Pacific Northwest hops. A dry, crisp malt character and aggressive alcohol make our I.P.A. a Hop-Heads Passion. 16.5į

12oz can. Looks amber. Aroma of citrusy and piney hops plus a pale/light caramel/slightly weird malt character. Flavor the same, with something off about the malts. Average texture. Not bad but could improve.

Medium amber. Medium white head, lasting with lots of lace. Aroma seemed muddled. Alcohol takes up too much space in the flavor profile. Sharp bitterness. Did not really care for..

Served cold, poured into IPA glass. Dark amber color with nice tan head. Lacing remained fairly consistent while drinking. One of the darker IPA's. Scents of lemon and grapefruit with some piney floral scents. Did not taste as much of the floral/fruit as I would have liked. Good bitterness on the back end. A great local brew, easy to take camping in the aluminum cans. Nothing spectacular but certainly a decent IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours amber with light tan head. Aroma of pine and malt. Taste is the same. Not much exciting here. Pretty basic but not bad. I have had 4 of their beers and there all in the same boat.

12 fl oz / 355mL can into a Samuel Adams glass. Served cold. Aroma: Citrus, especially lemon, and grapefruit. Nice piney hop aroma. Slight maltiness. Appearance: Transparent rusty amber with a thick off-white head. One of the darker IPAs Iíve seen. Taste: Strong hop presence here. Piney. Reminds me of Stoneís beers. Not as much citrus as I expected from the aroma, but itís deliciously bitter. A little bit of malt. Palate: Medium-full body, nice lingering flavors. Overall: Fantastic IPA. Faaaaantastic.
