COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American Brewers have re-defined this traditional English Ale with an intense bitterness derived from the distinct citrus/pine character of Pacific Northwest hops. A dry, crisp malt character and aggressive alcohol make our I.P.A. a Hop-Heads Passion. 16.5°

Small, off white head with fair retention and some stringy lace that sticks around. Lightly hazy, copper/orange color. Secretly, danky, piny hop nose. Body is middlin, good carbonation, juicy and a hint of resin. Dry malts, citrusy, danky hop notes and an aggressive hop bite makes sloth happy.Props to WillRunForBeer for the 12oz can.

Pours a nice copper color with white head. Citrus, pine, and grass on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with more piney goodness.

Extra from Dustin. Thanks man. 12oz can. Dark gold copper color. Definitely more of the pine west coast style. Fairly malty for the style. A touch more bitter than the average for 7%.

Type: 12-oz. can Glass: Lagunitas mason jar From: Whole Foods in Tempe, Ariz. Price: $2.59 Purchased: May 17, 2014 Consumed: May 21, 2014 Misc.: Crafted on Feb. 26, 2014 Poured a dark orangeish, amber, hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of khaki-white pillowy head. Average-to-lively average foamy lacing along the sides of the glass. Very good retention on the top. Smelled citrus hops, nectarine, caramel malts, earthy rye malts, iced tea, light grapefruit, orange rind, bitter tropical hops and mango. Tasted not quite as good as I hoped. Got citrus hops, nectarine, orange rind, mango and other tropical hops up front, immediately followed by bitter earthy malts, boozy, astringent alcohol and rye hops. Bitter aftertaste. Grapefruit notes come in late, but not a good overall taste. Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Average carbonation. Astringent, bitter finish. This IPA was just OK. I wavered on pretty much all five categories, so this could have gone a bunch of different ways.

Can from gordito. Pours a dark orangish amber with a bit of haze and a decent head. Aromas are pineapple and a bit of resin. Flavor is yummy. Lots of balance with a decent resin, orange, pineapple and a hint of passion fruit. Darn good beer.

Aroma of citrus, pine, some earthy notes. Pours clear amber/orange with thin head. Thin body. Mid range hop finish. Put a six pack of these in my golf bag for the round. Accomplished their task although my game didn’t improve.
