COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American Brewers have re-defined this traditional English Ale with an intense bitterness derived from the distinct citrus/pine character of Pacific Northwest hops. A dry, crisp malt character and aggressive alcohol make our I.P.A. a Hop-Heads Passion. 16.5

12oz can, thanks BuckNaked. Crystal clear amber body atop medium off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit, some pine, light cattiness. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit, pine, light catty. Light-medium body, light resin. Its a smooth drinker that hides its alcohol well. But it also seems a bit lighter in the hoppiness that I want from an IPA. So Id consider it something of a higher alcohol APA.

Pours hazy golden with medium white head on tap. Sweet hoppy aroma with hints of citrus. Full flavor of hops with a dry finish. Great beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap: The aroma consists of grapefruit, citrus, fruit, and caramel. Its a transparent amber with a one finger off-white head that eventually settles to a thin film. There is a good dose of thin webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with light-moderate caramel and fruit. The finish has some light-moderate citrus and grapefruit. Its medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Overall, too much caramel for my IPA preferences.

Can. Pours a deep, vivid dark amber with a high, large-grained, lacy beige head. Nose is ruby red grapefruit, bay leaf, Emmenthaler cheese, and lavender. Dry, biscuity, and astringent up front, with an assertive bitterness; on the mid-palate, it shifts into a clean herbal note with just a touch of citrus sweetness. Definitely on the drier end of the IPA spectrum. Finish is long and spritzy, and quite refreshing. Good.

Can to glass. Pours a clear amber color with thin yellow head. Aroma is mango, pineapple, tropical fruity hops with a faint bit of caramel malts. Taste is not a hippy as the smell, light citrus and pine notes. Moderate bitterness, and a solid malt presence. Finishes dry. Ok. Palate is medium body, medium carbonation. Overall, an average IPA with a good aroma.

Amber brew with a strong grapefuit aroma. Taste is about like drinking grapefuit juice. After dranking this one for a while and my taste buds began to adjust for the massive acidic citrus flavor I began to notice a mild pine flavor in there. I love grapefruit so naturally I like this beer. Plan to buy this one again.

July 1st Sunday. Can reads that this thing is close to two months old. Wow - would love to try this thing fresh. Great smell of tropical fruits, mango and citrus. Taste was quite as potent but still nice tropical, even keel malts, citrus.

Can - Light orange with a small head. The first thing I noticed was the bready taste of crackers (in a saltine sort of way). Has a piney hop backbone and pretty dry.
