COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American Brewers have re-defined this traditional English Ale with an intense bitterness derived from the distinct citrus/pine character of Pacific Northwest hops. A dry, crisp malt character and aggressive alcohol make our I.P.A. a Hop-Heads Passion. 16.5į

Can. Pours with a very mild hazed golden body with a small white head. Aromas are fruity, hoppy, citrusy, grassy, tangerine and oddly enough: a distinct raw celery note. Flavors are vegital, grassy, DMS, light cardboard (possibly hot side aeration type of thing or stale 2 row). Lively carbonation, dry, not particularly enjoyable.

12oz can pours a medium to dark copper with off white head. Nice lacing on the glass. Nice medium aroma of malts and a good citrus and pine scent. The flavor yet not over powering is a solid flavor of malt and hop flavor. Really like this one again.

Can in my hotel room. Pours clear dark amber with a medium, frothy off-white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is herbal, citrus, and pine hops with pale malt and pear esters. Flavor is moderate hops and bitterness, light sweet malt and fruity esters with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

12 oz can. Red orange with slight of white head. Piney aroma, but nothing overpowering, some grapefruit. More pine on the taste, not my favorite kind of IPA, but still good.

Can bought from the store at the entrance to Grand Canyon National Park, drank at BDSB 3 weeks later. 4 months old when drank (shoulda checked the date!). Pours clear orange amber, offwhite head lasts ok. Smells of twiggy caramel malt, some citrus hops. Tastes sweet, caramel burnt sugar, moderate bitter, juicy orange fruit, some sweet tropical notes too. I can tell this beer was decent fresh but itís suffered a bit from being sat for months in a warm shop.

Clear red orange pour with a white head and great lacing. Juicy tropical fruit and citrus aroma with some pine. Taste is pineapple, citrus rind, caramel, and a bitter pine finish and aftertaste. Medium body. Can is about 3 months old and still very good.

12 oz can from Whole Foods Market - Chandler. Burnt orange and clear appearance with a lacy white head. Pretty similar to their Devilís Ale. A little more bitterness and a touch dryer. Slightly bigger body with a sweeter finish. I think I like Devilís Ale just a little better.

Can from AJís. Copper with lasting head and lace. Pine forest and biscuity malt aroma. Medium sweet fruit and biscuity malts with assertive piney earthy woody lingering bitterness. Medium full body. Very good/excellent.
