Mr Pineapple was conceived for SanTan Brewing Company’s annual Luau day here in Downtown Chandler. Fresh pineapple is added to our Wheat beer during fermentation to add a refreshing tropical flavor to an already sweet and fruity ale! The pineapple is balanced with a firm malt character and a slightly spiced hint of clove. Mr. Pineapple is highly carbonated to make it a quenching and refreshing ale for our warm Arizona climate.

Can on a hot day. Aroma is wheat, grains, citrus, pineapple. Smells decent. Taste is a sweet, fruity wheat beer. Almost too sweet for my taste. Get a bit of the wheat notes, and hints of pepper and spices. Good on the palate. Good pool beer, had from the can.

Slightly hazy yellow with nice head that holds on for a while. Was expecting a pineapple overload but was happy not to get that. Only a small hint of pineapple in the aroma and only a small amount in the taste wich made this one very enjoyable on a hot afternoon. Other than the mild pineapple there is the destinct flavors of wheat and clove that is expected from this style of brew. Good stuff that I plan to purchase again.

Pour hazy orange with a small white head. Wheat and spice with an undercurrent of pineapple. Really could use a bit more pineapple.

Can. Pours a bright gold with a pillowy, large-grained, lacy white head. Nose is -- surprise -- pineapple, along with clove, allspice, cinnamon, and wheat/bready notes. Some sweetness and wheat beer phenols up front; then the pineapple kicks in, with definite fruit and acidity. Finish is long and tangy, really redoubling the pineapple note. Nicely balanced and refreshing. I like it.

Clear golden-orange with a white head. Aroma of wheat, clove, and bubblegum. Taste is sweet and fruity and slightly spiced. Medium bodied and slightly syrupy with average carbonation. Pretty good wheat, but I get no pineapple.

Hazy straw color with a white head. The aroma has some pineapple notes as well as some pepper and wheat. The flavor is similar. I get some juicy pineapple notes as well as some wheat, pepper and clove. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Wheat’s usually aren’t my thing but this is quite a nice summer brew! Average cloudy gold pour w/ a thin white head that leaves some lacing. The aroma is dominated by the pineapple. The taste is smooth & the pineapple really adds to the traditional wheat flavor. This is a nice beer!
