Mr Pineapple was conceived for SanTan Brewing Company’s annual Luau day here in Downtown Chandler. Fresh pineapple is added to our Wheat beer during fermentation to add a refreshing tropical flavor to an already sweet and fruity ale! The pineapple is balanced with a firm malt character and a slightly spiced hint of clove. Mr. Pineapple is highly carbonated to make it a quenching and refreshing ale for our warm Arizona climate.

Bottle; poured a dull, fairly dark gold. Aroma of pineapple, wheat, and flowers. Flavor had a nice bubblegum component, but it was all too subdued. Not sure the pineapple was a great addition, but it was not a bad beer overall.

On tap at SanTan Brewery in Chandler, AZ. Hazy orange color with a citrus aroma. The pineapple definitely shone through, which was exactly what I was expecting. The pineapple slice was a nice touch. Not usually my type of beer but can see enjoying one of these on a hot summer day.

Cloudy golden with large pollowy white head. Dusty hop aromas, maybe Czech, Belgian yeast, fruit esters, apple, phenols, a touch of clove, pineapple, creamy and spritzy texture. A bit high in alcohol for session but thirst quenching. With high acidity for rapid absorption. Pretty and nice on a hot day.

Draft at mellow mushroom Tempe. Pours golden and clear with a massive white head. Slight yeast and pineapple notes on the nose. There’s some pineapple on the tongue as well which powers out some of the other flavors. Finishes clean.

On tap at Tommy Bahamas in Scottsdale. This is a great hot summer day beer clean crisp and refreshing finish. No need to add any additional fruit it has it all built in. Some he as can be bitter but this one is not. Great compliment to seafood.

Ok, my wife loves this beer, I think for the category of pinapple wheat beer this beer kicks ass, and I want to fully support this local brewer because its my favorite brewer for several reasons : 1. Its the closest brewery to my house 2. They have damm good beers 3. This is the brewery that got me to exoand my mind and move away frim the dos xx, corona, sam adams, blue moon phase I was stuck in. so with that said, maui brewing has a maui wheat beer that is very, very, similar to this (and it has just a bit more puneapple taste) anywhoo, they both are great in the category of pineapple wheat beers. I dont usually drink this type anyways, but I guess id side with the local mr. pineapple. (anyone wa nts to get their date/wife a beer, this is the one....they will love it.

A bright and cloudy yellowish pour. Nice sized white head. Aroma has really nice accents of pineapple, honey, wheat, and a hint of lemon zest. Flavor is quite refreshing, crisp, pineapple is light but detectable, floral notes and yeast.

Cloudy yellow with thin white head. Light tropical aroma. Light flavor with just a hint of fruit. Refreshing but not much flavor. Not bad but not my style.

16oz draft 6/29/12 (District kitchen & wine bar)-Pours a clear orangish amber with a small off white head. Aroma of banana, clove, and slight citrus. Taste of the same with some pineapple on the back end. This light bodied brew is a different twist on the style. Not too shabby.

Draft. Poured an hazy dark yellow color with an large frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate tart citrus, clove and yeast aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium spice sweet finish of moderate duration. Soft drinkable beer.
