Mr Pineapple was conceived for SanTan Brewing Company’s annual Luau day here in Downtown Chandler. Fresh pineapple is added to our Wheat beer during fermentation to add a refreshing tropical flavor to an already sweet and fruity ale! The pineapple is balanced with a firm malt character and a slightly spiced hint of clove. Mr. Pineapple is highly carbonated to make it a quenching and refreshing ale for our warm Arizona climate.

On tap at Tommy Bahamas in Scottsdale. This is a great hot summer day beer clean crisp and refreshing finish. No need to add any additional fruit it has it all built in. Some he as can be bitter but this one is not. Great compliment to seafood.

12 oz can. Pours a hazy, dark golden yellow color and topped by a small off white head of foam that quickly fades away leaving little lace. The aroma shows notes of grains, wheat, citrus, and maybe a hint of pineapple. The flavor follows with the wheat and grains up front followed by sweet pineapple juice on the finish with a touch of hop bitterness. Medium bodied with balanced carbonation that leads to sweet, fruity finish. As it warms up it gets a touch too sweet. Not bad for a hot summer day.

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2015 Not a good scent, decent flavor, slightly yeasty, not a lot of pineapple flavor. Update. I have tried this again and it is not like I remember. Now tasted like a Belgian Hefeweizen with a bit of pineapple flavor. Not bad this time around.---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can to glass. Nose is initially very grainy, very wheaty. Moderate esters but I would necessarily have picked out pineapple but definitely tropical and fruit cup. Pours a hazy pale orange to dark yellow with a small white head. Taste is moderately pineapple flesh with a grainy wheat flavor. Light bitterness. Some pineapple sweetness comes across as it warms. Overall ok. I prefer the river town pineapple much more.

Small aroma of wheat and citrus. Golden color with a big white head. Light palate. Flavor up front was wheat followed by a slight acidic bitterness and tropical fruit with a hint of pineapple.

Tap. Hazy butterscotch, small white head, decent lacing. Aroma is light, hints of wheat and fruit, can’t really get pine apple. Flavor is light sweet, some pineapple here, but very muted, more like an almost citric sweetness, wheat notes present, with some clove and bubblegum that suggests that this is still brewed with a hefe yeast, but filtered. Medium body. Oddly pleasant.

pours a murky gold with a thick off white head. Aroma is grass and definite pineapple. The taste is complex. Somewhat like a Belgian with some spices, but then a definite pineapple kick. Good lively carbonated mouth feel and a pleasant brief semi-sweet finish. Good refreshing beer!

Drank by the pool in Tubac AZ. Can from Safeway. Drank from the can. Aroma of a typical wheat beer. Light fruity yeast aroma. Taste is sweet with a nice pineapple finish. Nice in the AZ heat.

Appearance was hazy orangish gold with creamy off white diminishing 1 finger head, no lacing. Aromas are pineapple, citrus with hints of wheat and pale malt. Taste are lemon, pineapple upfront then wheat, pils sweetness coming thru mid swallow. Fruity estery slightly drying yeasty finish. Palate was soft CO2 with light body, an average length Belgian style finish. Overall a easy drinking fruity brew, great lawnmower beer.
