COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mr Pineapple was conceived for SanTan Brewing Companyís annual Luau day here in Downtown Chandler. Fresh pineapple is added to our Wheat beer during fermentation to add a refreshing tropical flavor to an already sweet and fruity ale! The pineapple is balanced with a firm malt character and a slightly spiced hint of clove. Mr. Pineapple is highly carbonated to make it a quenching and refreshing ale for our warm Arizona climate.

Second time trying this and I have to admit I like it more this time. Must be the heat here in AZ! Pineapple flavor not as strong as I remember (which it good). A decent Wheat beer but I still donít understand all the raves it is getting online.

A hazed golden amber ale with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light pineapple juice, light metallic notes, so-so. In mouth, a rather sweet cloying pineapple juice with metallic harshness, grassy hops, light orange, so-so. Can from PHX, 1 year old.

Amarillo, Tx - on tap at IDK Sports Bar. Cloudy, light orange pour, light off-white head. Aroma of pineapple and yeast but pretty much neutral. Flavor has some pineapple of course, with a touch of banana and cloves and a yeasty back end with a touch of sweet tart sourness and some trailing ctrus. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Drinkable.

Sample at OHSO. Hazy straw colour with a ring of white head. Pineapple, peach, grass aromas. Sweet and tangy pineapple balance the grassy, spicy wheat base nicely. The bitter aftertaste I usually get with hefes is almost non-existent. This is a really nice fruit flavored wheat ale. Refreshing and drinkable.

Whole Paycheck had this available on tap so, I thought that I would give it a taste. Not bad overall. Golden Apple color with a light, crisp mouth. Not much head, though it was there, I actually did taste notes of pineapple and citrus to it. Iíd buy it again though it isnít toward the top of my list.

Draft at the source. Slightly hazy yellow color, thick white head. Light straw aroma. Taste has subtle pineapple. Subtle.

Twelve ounce can from my beer Advent calendar my sister-in-law made for me. Pours a slightly hazy golden orange color with a foamy white head that completely disappears within the first minute or so. Zero lacing remains on the glass. Aroma has some Belgian yeast notes. Flavor does as well with notes of clove and a hint of pineapple in the finish. Tastes a tiny bit like a Belgian trippel minus the high alcohol.

Poured from 12 oz can: slightly hazy brass color with an inch of off-white head, dissipating after a couple minutes with no mentionable lace; nice pineapple aroma, with a bit of booze and cereal; nice fruit sweetness with a tart touch, and typical wheat brew flavors; lively carbonation yet the mouthfeel retains a bit of creaminess, it finishes with a mild bitterness and caramel. Itís tasty.

Rating #1533 - 19.03.2015 - On tap at Coronado. Was expecting a cloudy Hefe. Pours a hazy straw yellow, bubbly white head. Aroma is fresh pineapple juice. More pineapple juice on the palate, but there is a weizen type quality. Review notes use "Doleweizen". A bit one-dimensional.

Honestly a lot better than expected! Pours a dark yellow with a fizzy head. The can is what grabbed my attention because it looks cartoony and quite frankly more like a juice can than beer. Smells beery and had a light dash of pineapple. Tasted a LOT better than expected. Itís essentially beer with pineapple. Finishes smooth with a pineapple bite, gets sweeter as it warms. Overall? WAY better than expected, but itís probably the last Iíll see of it unless they make a 40oz.

12 oz can. Pours a hazy, dark golden yellow color and topped by a small off white head of foam that quickly fades away leaving little lace. The aroma shows notes of grains, wheat, citrus, and maybe a hint of pineapple. The flavor follows with the wheat and grains up front followed by sweet pineapple juice on the finish with a touch of hop bitterness. Medium bodied with balanced carbonation that leads to sweet, fruity finish. As it warms up it gets a touch too sweet. Not bad for a hot summer day.
