Real dark pour with tan disappearing head. I really like this, A medium like milk chocolate nose with some roast in the background. Taste is well balanced to my liking. Bittersweet chocolates with some nuttyness. Nothing jumps out, its just a wonderful state of equilibrium. Not too sweet, not too hoppy. Silky palate. I am very happy with some of our local breweries.

Can. Pours mahogany with a medium tan head that dissipates pretty quickly and leaves good lacing. Aroma is milk chocolate with some roasted malts and molasses. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter, very chocolatey, some dark sugars. Lingering bitterness. Fairly light body, but a creamy mouthfeel.

Growler thanks to Ilya! Pours a clear dark brown with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of bread and light chocolate with a hint of must underlying. Flavor has more chocolate with a slight bitterness and dark grains with a slight creaminess.

Not sure if this is the correct entry, although the can I drank is the same as the one pictured....and some reviews do seem to be of a Barley Wine, this was most certainly not. Pours a dark chocolate color, thin tan head, moderate lacing. Aroma of powdered cocoa, faint nuttiness, faint vanilla and faint bread. Taste was pretty thin for a what the beer described itself as. No flavor really stands out, leaving the chocolate to taste flat. Finish just seem to fade out...pretty thin there too.

this is a very good porter, although it does lose something out of the can versus on tap. its pours black and has a chocolate hoppy taste.

Too much alcohol but a good strong porter. Chocolate dark strong. Touch more barley maybe than most porters. Goes down ez overall. Nice experience. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft - Roasted malts and some light sweetness. Clear dark mahogany with a beige head. Roasted malts, some dark chocolate and a pretty thin body. Expected so much more and was quite disappointing with this weak showing.

Smooth and creamy, just the right amount of chocolate to make you swoon, I prefer to let it warm a little before enjoying

Can:   Deep brown, cola hues, thin sudsy tannish head, spotty lacing.   Soft sweet roasty nose, some dark chocolate and a touch of cold coffee.   Smells decent!   Not as sweet or robust on the tongue.   Pale roast, faint dark chocolate, a touch dry and ashy.   Needs more depth, and more body as its almost too thin in body.   Finishes with a touch of semi-sweetened cold coffee, roasted malts, and dry bakers chocolate.   Smells a bit better than it comes across.   Average, or a little below.

Really nice chocolate flavor. Smooth tasting. Not too sweet. Not much aroma of any sort. Great mouthfeel.
