COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
831 is a classic example of the modern American India Pale Ale. A simple malt bill provides a showcase for bold, citrus, dank hop flavors and enticing aromas. Each sip is clean and dry allowing for the pure expression of American grown hops including Magnum, Columbus, and Citra. Unabashedly aggressive and yet satisfying. 831 is our ode to the brash grace and herbal beauty of humulus lupulus.

Draft at the brewery. Pours unclear gold with a creamy white head. Crazy aroma, so dank and fresh, loads of mango, tangerine, melon. Light sweet flavor, quite dry, with pithy citrus, lots of minerality, grapefruit rind, mild tangerine. Light bodied with average carbonation. Dry and pithy on the finish, more dry citrus, minerals. Great snout but the rest is a little dry and doesn’t follow through as I had hoped it would.

Keg at the brewery tap, 02/02/16. Hazed orange golden topped with a decent off white covering. Nose is bitter orange, melon, grapefruit, light white pepper, straw, hop jus. Taste comprises grapefruit, tangerine, orange pith, melon, toasted bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with hop bitterness. Solid IPA.

Orange pour with a white head. Big time pine and floral hop aromas. Nice grapefruit notes to it as well. Some bread and mild caramel aroma, but overall, fairly dry and minimal malt influence. Big orange and grapefruit citrus notes along with plenty of pine to add bitterness. A very nice floral quality, mild malt sweetness, and a dry, bitter finish.

On tap at Sante Adairius, pours a cloudy peachy blonde with a small white head. Aroma smells like a cross between a farmhouse ale and IPA, with herbal hops, farmhouse yeast, and pot. Flavour is similar, bringing out loads of piney hops, and intense herbal, pot-like hops. They’re not messing around here - a rather abrasive hempy IPA. Good stuff.

Bright gold pour, fluffy white head. Very dank! Weed, citrus, grassy. Juicy and bitter but not overly bitter.

Bottle... Pours cloudy and deeply yellow with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma is a marriage of golden grapefruit and pine resin. Full-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Tons of rindy, tannic bitterness in both the flavor and lengthy finish. Bottle courtesy of ctipping!

Growler @ home, thanks to bytemesis. Pours a milky, cloudy yellow orange appearance with a lasting cream colored head. Aroma has light onion, passion fruit, orange creamsicle, and spicy hops. Medium body. Moderate high bitterness. Low sweetness. Flavor has some orange citrus but really is highly herbal, grassy, and some pine. Finishes quite bitter. Nice flavor and aroma. Eminently drinkable but a little too bitter.

Draft - Skunky and orange notes. Cloudy gold with almost no head. Bitter and very pithy and some peel. Nice nose but a bit aggressive bitterness.
