Growler shared by GT. Pours a hazed pale golden color with a white head. Aroma is disappointing based on their other beers. White pepper, banana, apple, bread, and a hint of lemon zest. Maybe some yeast and orange. Flavor is kind of bland. Bread, lemon zest, white pepper, and banana. Cracker malt, yeast, and apple.

2L growler from belgianthings on BA. Traded heavy for this beast. Pours a low haze golden with buttermilk, thick, large foam. Nose is sweet apple, esters, banana. Some white pepper. Taste is juicy, savory melon, some peach. Chalky palate. Not so great. Vastly disappointing.

Draft. Blonde beer with a cream head. Yeast aroma. Yeast and spice flavor with light fruitiness. Medium bodied. Yeast and spice linger with light fruitiness.

Pours dirty blonde with a decent beige head and a bready aroma. There is a smooth caramel malt flavor that is a bit fruity with a nice yeast presence.

On tap at City Beer, pours a hazy pale golden with a medium creamy white head. Nose is like a traditional rustic farmhouse ale, with loads of rustic spicy notes and some moderate barnyard funk. Flavour isn’t as impressive as the nose, but this is still a high quality authentic saison, with very rustic notes, low funk, and Belgian yeast. Nice and dry, with a very rustic mouthfeel. Great stuff.

Bottle shared at Sean’s Tasting (Ann Arbor, MI). Pours a gentle hazed golden bright hue, touches of sunfire and frothy whitish head atop. Frothy layer stays ok sized, laces ok. Aromas present gentle tartness, bread, and straw. Mellow wheat, some yeastiness, touch of vanilla, citrus and mellow ester. Initial is lighter end of the fold, a touch of body in the middle. Bready, a touch toasty, straw. Some yeastiness, apple, some gentle tartness. Middle is a bit sweet, bready and doughy, touches of fruit and mellow earthy hops. Backend is a bit tart, vanilla, apple and subtle pear. Some citrus, yeast and straw. Mellow vanilla, almost a creaminess. Finish is a bit wheaty, fruity, vanilla and estery elements, touches of melon and straw, gumball and yeastiness. Not bad, a bit tart, a bit sweet at times for me.

On tap at brewery. Hazy golden with a fluffy white head. Nice sweet floral, grainy, apple and pear aroma and taste with a crisp earthy finish and lingering citrus notes on the far back end. Good creamy medium bodied palate. Nice.

On draft at the brewery. It pours a very light yellow color with a white head. The aroma is pleasant with hay, coriander, a touch of orange and light notes of sweet vanilla. The flavor is the same. Coriander and pepper spice with light orangina. Light bodied and very sessionable. Not too spicy or estery. I was surprised this one weighed in at a rather hefty 6.5%.

On tap at brewery. Pours bright yellow gold wth medium white head. Yeast, apples, straw, grains, banana, clove, light hops, and spice are the main tasting notes for me. Well carbonated, pretty solid.

Sampled this a bunch of times now, this review from a growler. Pours a vibrant orange color with a fine-bubbled, constantly replenishing white head; really nice looking pour. Aroma shows white pepper at the front of things with a dryish presentation that doesn’t exclude notes of caramelized bananas and honey; everything right where it should be (WLP568?). Lively, fine bubbles in a medium-bodied presentation; mouthwatering and precise on the tongue. A bit of white pepper and clove hit the front of the tongue first, followed by those honeyed notes that, while not overtly sweet, serve to round out the mouthfeel and keep this from being too lean. Layered, luscious saison right here. Drying finish of white pepper, clove + emergent breadiness and toast. These folks are brewing some great stuff.
