Bottle contributed in absentia by Felipe - thanks! Bit of a gusher on opening, but not bad. Pours cloudy hazel with a medium tan head and good lacing on the glass. Aroma is light rum, toffee, raisin, funky basement. Flavor is medium sweet, lightly funky, oak, vanilla and some nuttiness. Lightish body, high effervescent carbonation. Good effort!

750ml Bottle – thanks to gyberic for sharing. Aroma is moderately malty with candied dark fruits such as plum, light raisin, and an interesting funky mix of tart green apples and yeast. The beer pours light brown with moderate red hues and big off-white lacing that eventually settles into a thin film over the liquid. The beer has webby lacing and very faint legs. Taste is up front dark caramel, with moderate malt character that adds a light sweetness with light funky and tart plum fruitiness. The back end has plenty of oak tannins and a sweet rum character with some tart twang. The body is medium-light with light fluffy quality and lightly dry finish. The after taste is mostly tart apple, light caramel and rum. There is a bit of astringency on the palate, but it is not overwhelming. Overall, the Naughty Ron is a tart, sweet rum forward beer. It’s a nice tangent from the straight forward Belgian beers by adding the funky, tart aspect.

Poured from 750, cloudy murky brown with off white head. Funky nose, tart taste, quite enjoyable. Crisp and clean finish.
