Draft @ Sante. Pours a deep cola-brown color with a modest viscosity and reddish core hue. Lightly tart, fruit-laden aroma: strawberries, cherries, hints of raisins and just a touch of an aspirin-like chalkiness; seamless and generous. Medium-full body; medium-light CO2; slightly viscous. Flavor follows suit here: tart red fruits, some darker, raisiny elements, plus a touch of soft, lightly buttery oak; light tannins. That soft, toasty, popcorn-like buttery note lingers in the finish. A solid effort, though that light aspirin-like chalkiness (quite common in American sours aged in red wine barrels) detracts a touch.

Pours nearly black with an ecru head. Fruity sour aroma full of blackcurrant and blackberry, soft sweet red wine notes, grapes. Tart flavor, plenty of barrel, lemon verbena, dark sour berries, sugary acidic maltiness, cherry. Whoa!
