A- pours a hazy straw yellow with a thin finger of white head. Great lacing and retention. S- dirty, musty hops with strong grapefruit, lemon, green pepper, ground pepper spice, fresh cut grass, wet wood. Dial soap. M- light to medium tacky body with a lightly bitter palate and medium carbonation. T- taste follows aroma. Dank wood, and dirty hops are strong. Citrus, grapefruit and lemon zest come on in the middle. Green peppers. Ending is long but efficient. Citrus notes linger with soap and sharp grass. Very mild malts and pepper in the aftertaste.

Aroma of dough, grass, grapefruit, and orange. Taste is pilsner malts and doughy grass. Good stuff.

Half pour at the brewery – reviewed from notes. Aroma is slightly dank and pungent with spruce/pine, light earth, and light fruity orange with a kiss of grapefruit. The beer pours cloudy pale yellow with small white head on top of the liquid, nice lacing as the beer goes down. Flavor is upfront pungent hop spice with an earthy twist. There is plenty of cracker and caramel malt flavor to diverge away being a bit too earthy. The hop character does impart a bit of fruit like orange like everybody else has mentioned. The body is medium full with medium carbonation and moderate bitterness on the aftertaste. Lingering herbal hop character rests on the tongue. Overall, probably the least “bright” beer in the simple series but it is a well-crafted single hop beer that uses the earthy hops with nice malt balance.

On tap at SARA. It pours a hazy yellow color with a small white head. The aroma is grapefruit and orange with a touch of bread. The flavor is dank and spicy with a dry, weedy pine finish. Very bitter with a strong orange flavor as well. Light crackery malt with a hint of caramel. Drinks like an IPA. Good stuff.

Tap. Pours cloudy golden Amer, small white head, good lacing. Aroma is a bit dank, earthy, pine, spruce. Flavor follows, very light sweet, light bitter, mineral taste, earthy, evergreens, a bit dank. Crisp and light bodied, just a hint of lingering bitterness. Well crafted, as would be expected.

Pours golden with clearish and minimal top. Light and sporadic lacing. Taste is bitter with some hops, somewhat Belgian notes, some apple yeastiness but it was bottom of the keg. As it warmed I began to appreciate it. Had lots of juicy peach and spice.

On tap at the brewery. Nice pale malt aroma with cracker and biscuit. Moderate hop character that fairly fruity with quite a bit of virus and tropical fruit. No garlic or onion at all. Pours a cloudy pale yellow gold with a small, thick white bread with really good retention. Medium lacing and small legs. Flavor had a nice light sweetness with hints of cracker and biscuit. Medium bitterness with some nice fruity hop flavor and some citrus notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Soft and silky. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall another really nice beer in the simple series. Surprising how the hop flavor and aroma isn’t at all like Summit when its fresh.

On tap at the brewery. Pours opaque and hazy, the color of an unripe orange. Sharp citrus rind aroma with a touch of garlic and an even fainter accent of waffle cone. Flavor gives me some grains and orange pith, slight pineapple and leafy resin. Not getting any garlic in the flavor. Nice smooth beer.

insanely cloudy with this bright orange glow. Has a very close similarly to HFS abner the nose is beer light and faint. Bits of wheat, oatmeal and clementines. Taste is quite chewy. There’s a bit of rawness to this that’s sticky and dank. Chewy bitterness, astringent turpentine and just a touch of sweetness to back up juicy oranges
