Super hazy orange. 1 finger creamy head. Nose is tangerine and grapefruit. Very juicy. I can smell the resin though. Lots of resin. Piney bomb but really refined. The mouthfeel is incredible. Has a bit of soap at the finish.

On draft at SARA. Golden, hazy pour. Aroma is tropical hops, danky, and fruity. Citra mostly? Grassy, tropical and orange hop flavors followed by a hop bitterness. A touch thin and undercarbonated (seems to be a theme here) with a touch of pepper and alcohol.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
In short: A very-hop-forward citrusy blonde IPA with a very assertive bitterness. Good Beer.
How: Growler shared at pre-HFFoFA 2013 tasting.
The look: Cloudy dark blonde body topped by a small white head.
In long: The hoppy nose is mostly fruity, a fresh citrusy fruits character with grapefruits and peaches coming out strong. In mouthe the beer is medium body with a chewy texture and medium carbonation, typical unfiltered IPA texture. On the malt front we have the usual crackery-bready blonde IPA malt structure that provides an adequate body size, a low sweetness sensation and leaving the flavor spectrum opened to the hops. Generous hopping with mangos, peaches and such that all converge into a very sharp graperuit bitterness in the finish. Maybe a little too bitter to be truly sensionnable even for a hop-head like me. Still, a very solid IPA. It was just a sample from growler at a tasting but I will rate this beer if I want to, nobody tells me what to do, unless you are my wife, and also my mom, and also my boss, also my bully neighbour, basically I do what I want 15 minutes per day.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap. Pours hazy golden witha medium creamy white head and great lacing. Aroma is citra, citrus tropical, a bit of cat piss. Flavor is the same, very light sweet, light plus bitter, bitter finish. Medium light body, mineral mouthfeel. Reminiscent of hill farmstead. A little too much bettering hops to compete with zombie dust, but pretty good.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
2L Growler thanks to belgianthings on BA. Beautiful pour, spotty white lace on a glowing, light yellow pour. Sharp pale malt nose, nutty, a tad husky with some butterscotch. Taste is very bitter, salty, grassy, mild mango and heavy nutty bitterness. Just too aggressive on the bittering hops for me :/

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: APR 4, 2014 Multiple pours throughout the week in San Jose at Good Karma, reviewed from notes. Pours extremely slow (nitro-like) out of the tap and into the glass with an unfiltered hazy pale golden/yellow color. Nice head retention that leaves noticeable laces as the drink subsides. Aroma is dominated by spicy floral qualities that tie very well into the dank hops. Light fruit esters, along with citrus: sweet orange peel, grapefruit. Underlying rustic aroma on the back end: dough, slightly catty, light hay. Taste follows aroma for the most part with a moderate malt body to balance the spicy and resiny hops, not as fruity as the aroma may suggest. Medium carbonation and moderate bitterness that isn’t as astringent tasting as 831 IPA tends to be. Finish is smooth and clean with lingering crackery taste. Finish is somewhat dry as well. Overall appears a little more fruity in aroma than 831 and slightly cleaner, but still far behind the genius of Northern Influence.
