1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
355mL bottle. Pours clear pale straw with a thin head that disappears quickly. Faint malty and skunked aroma with some fresh cut grass. So little flavour that the carbonic acid is detectable, slight malty sweetness, almost no bitterness. Light bodied and watery, average carbonation, very short finish.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
12oz bottle: pours golden brown with quick dissipating white head, aroma slightly skunky, flavor very light and also skunky, tastes almost like corona

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
I honestly think they are offering this to try and win over all those Corona drinkers. It is a buck cheaper per sixer than Corona. Santiago Cerveza De Oro pours a light golden/yellow color. Some head but that fizzles down pretty quickly and just faint traces of lacing. A grainy, grassy almost borderline skunk aroma (clear bottles). Flavor is more of the same (although not skunked) but there really isnít much flavor in there to begin with. An okay summer beer I suppose and Iíd drink one if given one but it is very weak. I didnít try it with a lime.

1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle: A good alternate choice for Corona lovers. With lemon and fresh seafood a good choice on a hot day. This export is not available in El Salvador, not sure where they sell this.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle from Big Lots. Pours a medium to light golden color. Sweet grainy aroma with just a hint of malt. Very much like beer flavored mineral water. So light as to not be offensive, but just very watered down. Not the worst El Salvadoran brew Iíve tried, just the most watery.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a clear golden color with a fair amount of alabaster bubbles around the edges and some nice lacing. Aroma is faintly of flowers, grass, yeast, light malts, and lemon. Taste is basically the same, except very watery texture. Undetectable hops bitterness. Eh.

0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Bottle: Pours a clear light yellow, although there are a few little chunks floating at the bottom of the bottle. Aroma is of stale cardboard and some light fruits, watery texture, flavor is pretty nonexistent. Not good in any way.

1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
(12 oz bottle: BevMo in La Jolla, CA) Bottle number three of the Beers Of The World gift pack. Itís so important to keep a sense of humor when churning through these crappy Latin American pale lagers because this stuff is just dreadful. Okay, first off, what the hell is this ugly brown thing circulating in this beer? I think itís a flea from the brewery and itís trying to do the backstroke! The standard medium straw body is nearly perfectly clear and is topped by a small, white head that dissipates rapidly. The aroma is sweet and grainy, but hey, at least I donít smell much cardboard, so this is already better than the other El Salvador beer I just tried. Damn myself to hell, I spoke too soon. Tasting the beer, Iím getting plenty of grain, cardboard and apples, with cardboard totally dominating the aftertaste. Ack, this is terrible, I mean, Christ, Iíll take a BMC at this point! Thin and light bodied with ample carbonation so that Iím forced to taste this beer twice -- once on the way down and once more on the way up. Atrocious. Even the Sun on the label is frowning; itís bad enough having to drink this stuff, I canít imagine the hell on Earth of being forced to be this beerís logo!
