Fľaša. Zlatá farba, skoro bez peny. Vôňa ovocná, kvasnicová, chmeľová. Chuť sladová, jemne sladká, trošku štiplavá na jazyku. Príjemná jemne horká a na jazyku suchá dochuť.

Bottle. Hazy yellow golden. Aroma hops, fruits, yeast. Taste hops, fruits-strawberries, yeast. Bitter aftertaste. Taste was quite unclean for me- to much yeast.

75cl shared bottle at a friend’s house. Pours hazy orange with small lasting white head. Complex aromas reminding me of Greek white wine, some wine sourness on the tongue as aftertaste too. Caramel malt leaves characteristic sweetness but hops take over after all, summer fruits like grapes and apricot, heavily hoppy with the expected bitterness, pine, grass, citrus and, possibly, grapefruit, creamy mouthfeel, dry and bitter finish . A well balanced brew. Was excellently paired with fresh pasta and homemade tomato-basil sauce from homegrown vegetables (thanks for the dinner!) Probably the best Greek IPA I’ve had so far, also rare to find in Athens. A very refreshing stunning brew from a promising microbrewery that has set high standards for the local industry. Thumbs up, Santorini!

Bottle. Kind of stale hoppy aroma despite efforts made to brimg it fresh and good. In taste it is slightly medicinal, sharp. Otherwise hoppy, citrusy, zesty.

From bottle at the brewery. Pours a hazy amber with a small, off white head. Aroma has hops, toasted malts, earthy, plenty caramel, some horse. Taste is sweet and fruity up front with some toasty caramel, and a hoppy, bitter finish. Medium full body and average carbonation.

Location: 750 ml bottle from the brewery, 5/28/15

Aroma: The aroma is oddly reminiscent of the local assyrtiko grape, a little earthy, grassy, lemon, and pale malt
Appearance: It pours a rather murky darker orange color with a thick frothy beige head and fairly heavy lace
Flavor: The flavor is fairly balanced, strong malt presence, lightly sweet, with a good, hearty hop bitterness as well
Palate: The body is medium, with an average carbonation, this one had a decent, but not great, overall feel
Overall Impression: Had a small sample of this at the brewery and I wasn’t that impressed, but I got a bottle anyway since it’s still more interesting than pretty much any other domestic beer I have found in Greece. As I’m drinking this bottle I’m enjoying it more though, so I’m going to give it a better score than I would have off the sample. Must be the water!
