I had the pleasure of visiting this tiny brewery on Santorini. While there is not much to see, the staff is friendly and passionate about beer and the craft of brewing (plus, the island is absolutely gorgeous). This is a hazy gold beer with a medium foamy white head that has good retention. Light nose of yeast, a bit of wet hay, and a subtle sweetness. Flavor is crisp and dry, somewhat like a wheat beer, with undertones of spice. Some sweet malt is there too, and this finishes with a light, refreshing bitterness. Perhaps I’m nostalgic, but I enjoy this beer quite a bit.

Bottle at home. Pours a cloudy yellow colour with a medium, off-white head. Aroma of hay, citrus, barnyard, vinegar, forest floor and gooseberries. The flavour has sweet malt, grains, bread and citrus. Slick and light bitterness, and has a light bitterness. Interesting aroma but the taste is very malty, and a bit boring.

Carbonated feel in the start. An average beer to drink with some football or with a starter before the dinner.

Bottle. Cloudy yellow, white quickly vaporating head. Aroma has apricot, yeast and flour. Bit off-putting. Taste has has fruit, hay, pine and yeast. Bit moldy. Low carbonation is ok here.

Very cloudy and effervescent pour with a few inches of white head, color is dark yellow/straw. Sweet floral aroma, rubbery lager yeast and metallic hops, quite nice. Soft carbonation, foamy mouthfeel, slightly dry finish. Tons of florals in the taste, tropical potpourri like and on the bitter side, some nuttiness detectable as well. Really great break from greek lagers.

0,3l Flasche. Hellgelbes, naturtrübes Bier mit toller weißer Schaumkrone. Riecht leicht fruchtig. Schmeckt malzig und leicht nach Citrus, sehr süffig.Sehr gut gehopftes Bier! Das ist mehr als ein Sommerbier....

330ml bottle, L-292/13, from Vinmonopolet Bestillingsutvalget. Two-finger sized white head slowly fading over a partially hazy golden body. Fragile lacing. Fruity aroma, grass and peach. Mid sweet pale malty flavours joined by peach and notes of yeasty fruitiness. Dry ending. Medium bodied. Okay, standard stuff (shared with friends at Finns place, Tromsø 09.04.2014).

Not bad for golden ale. Even though I am not a big fan of this type, this beer is not so bad. the extra hops saved the day...

33cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Lambertseter. Pours slightly hazy golden with a lasting white head. Fruity and yeasty aroma with notes of soap, perfume and flowers. A bit yeasty and mildly hoppy with hints of citrus an tropical fruits. Medium sweet with soapy and candy like flavours and a fairly light bitterness. Not quite my cup of tea. Would actually prefer tea instead...
