Bottle from brewery. Hazy gold with a big white head. Aroma is malt and some tea like hops. Taste follows and adds a lot of lemon and some herbal hoppy notes. Light crisp mouthfeel. Well balanced and tasty. Refreshing.

Santorini beer tour continued. Heard about this craft brewery on the island and planned to try it at some point. Then on a wine tour, was surprised that they actually took us here as a break between wineries. First of three that we tried (Yellow, Red, Crazy). Iíll try to ignore the weak effort by the brewery to host us (basically we went in and they just started pouring - no history of the brewery, no brewing process discussion, no "this is why beer is better than wine" - really too bad, as it was a good opportunity to convert a bunch of winos! - strange, especially because there was nobody else in there except our small group tour - anyway - just my opinion on how they can improve their beer ambassadorship). The Yellow Donkey was by far the best of the three I tried, but I found all of the beers lacking, for my palate. This one was pretty middle-of-the-road and there was really nothing offensive. Basically if you want an ale break from the production lagers that dominate the country.

Pours a hazy yellow color with a small white head. Aroma is mainly citrus zest with some malty grains and some herbal spicyness. Taste was a bit sour, probably from the citrus. The hops comes through nicely at the end for quite a pleasant beer.

I had the pleasure of visiting this tiny brewery on Santorini. While there is not much to see, the staff is friendly and passionate about beer and the craft of brewing (plus, the island is absolutely gorgeous). This is a hazy gold beer with a medium foamy white head that has good retention. Light nose of yeast, a bit of wet hay, and a subtle sweetness. Flavor is crisp and dry, somewhat like a wheat beer, with undertones of spice. Some sweet malt is there too, and this finishes with a light, refreshing bitterness. Perhaps Iím nostalgic, but I enjoy this beer quite a bit.

Bottle at home. Pours a cloudy yellow colour with a medium, off-white head. Aroma of hay, citrus, barnyard, vinegar, forest floor and gooseberries. The flavour has sweet malt, grains, bread and citrus. Slick and light bitterness, and has a light bitterness. Interesting aroma but the taste is very malty, and a bit boring.

Carbonated feel in the start. An average beer to drink with some football or with a starter before the dinner.

Bottle. Cloudy yellow, white quickly vaporating head. Aroma has apricot, yeast and flour. Bit off-putting. Taste has has fruit, hay, pine and yeast. Bit moldy. Low carbonation is ok here.
