Smells like wet hay and ripe fruit.
A watered down taste, a little sweet, a kick of bitterness, ripe apricot.
Lighter body, low carbonation.
An enjoyable dunkel.

Bottle shared with McTapps and bough in a real,- store in Dettingen. Starts off quite creamy with a nice medium brown and cloudy look. Aromas of some sweets, caramel and cereal in the start. Becomes dull and metallic after half of it. Drinkable one but not in the near of rocket science. Bit below average.

Deep brown colour with steady creamy head and medium to smooth body. Nose of malty yeast. Taste of yeast, fruit salad, nuts, malt and dark bread. Easy to drink but just too yeasty and dull. Hints of basement and leaves. Very boring and so typical.

Bottle at The Ale House, Chelmsford. Pours a slightly cloudy mid brown colour, with an average off white head. Wheat, caramel and malt aroma. Somewhat thin, soft carbonation.

Big bottle brought home from Germany. Not as good as the Lohrer Dunkel I also brought home, but this Sanwald is a fine brew. Wheat and toffee scent. Big fluffy head of a hazy dark caramel. Med/light body with a silky feel. Veggie, wheat, and toffee taste. Delicious.

Draft at the source. Cloudy variegated maroon brown color, thick tan head. Aroma of clove, bananas, caramel. Taste is tropical bubblegum. Sweet and a bit thin.

A good toasted hefeweizen with flavor of cloves and dark color. Medium in carbonation and very refreshing.

50cl bottle at La casa de la Cerveza. Hazy brown colour with an off-white and good lasting head; good lacing also. Aroma has slightly citrus notes with hints of yeast. Flavour is slightly sweet, with hints of dry fruits. The final is dry and a little watery. Carbonation and body is medium.

500 ml Flasche; Schöner weißer Kopf der sich sehr schnell aufbaut und sich einige Zeit hält. Tolle Kastanien-Braune Farbe. Schmeckt leicht fruchtig (Bannane), eine Weizennote und eine leichte zitrus Note ist ebenfalls erkennbar. Im Mund entfaltet sich das Bier gut, aber fühlt sich besonders im Abgang etwas wässrig an. Insgesamt ganz ok aber doch noch viel Verbesserungspotential.
