Loads of native, low-bush blueberries and Willamette Hops make this a head-turning mead. Honey provides a wonderful counterpoint to the tartness of the blueberries and the hop bitterness to create a truly interesting drinking experience.

Bottle. Pours crystal clear burgundy grape juice, no head, no lacing. Aroma is honey, blueberries, hints of apple, grass. Flavor is light plus sweet, light bitter, hints of maple with plenty of honey and restrained blueberry. Good come through on the finish as a lingering bitterness, grape skins. Medium body, no carbonation.

Pours ruby into a snifter. Hot blueberry aromas. Soft with sweet marshmallow and hot earthy hops upfront turning to a medium length earthy honey finish.

Bottle via trade with radarsock, I think. Poured a medium bodied blood red body with no head and no carbonation, hell it’s a mead afterall. vinous red wine notes, not much else going on. Body is super thin with no carbonation and a quick fading aftertaste. Flavor is a bit better with some solid hops followed by lots of red wine, breads, crusts, grass, mrelot. Interesting.

Bottle to glass. Pours a mostly clear ruby mahogany color with a small amount of sediment and zero head. Aroma is a sweet blueberry, artificial grape like character, a hint of maple, and some booze. Flavor is quite boozy, with some wine like sweetness. Very little hops are present in aroma or flavor. Light and oily body with a booze burn. Interesting, but not my favorite mead.

Small bottle, maybe 12oz, pours a clear purple with zero head. Nose of blueberry, booze, cheap wine. Flavor is sweet, boozy, berries, honey, again cheap grapes. Sticky finish.

Small bottle. Poured a nice, reddish clear color without any head at all. Aroma was sweet, dry honey notes with a touch of blueberry notes. Sweet blueberry notes, almost a toasty buttered toast note to it. Pretty tasty!
