350 ml can thanks to Ingo! Sampled on November 9, 2013.
Clear golden color, small fizzy head. Sweet, malty, sugar, apple, compost, vegetable, paper, grainy scent. Sweet, paper, mineral, harsh, grainy taste. Fizzy mouthfeel, low bitterness.

Mild hops, malty aroma. Sweet caramel, biscuit flavors, light bitterness. Not that bad for a happoshu, goes down pretty quickly.

MrRomero (1974) - Nolanville, USA - JUL 25, 2013
Pours yellow with a one finger white head. Moderate aroma of yeast and a touch of grapes. Crisp taste, well carbonated. Slightly dry with a very short finish. Mild bitterness.

Westkyoto77 (504) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JUN 8, 2013
Can. Certainly can tell there is both wheat and hops in this, but it’s the other flavours in there that drags it down to standard happoshu territory. Biscuity, malty, ok mouthfeel, but doesn’t pull it all together. The ’red’ and ’black’ versions of this are a shade better.

Theis (13288) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 5, 2013
Can in Rooooooom (a Ferrari just passed by the hotel) at Okayama Kooraku Hotel - shared with Mette. Clear golden - white head. Sweetness, amber malts, caramel, light to medium hoppy, bread, grainy, too sweet, ok bitterness.

maekchu (1982) - Hirakata, JAPAN - SEP 29, 2012
Can. Cardboard and bad perfume aromas. Standard lager yellow, very creamy slick white head. Initial has a bit of good maltiness; but it flattens out quickly in mid palate; finish is kind of sickly sweet. Thin, very thin palate. Not so good....

   AROMA 4/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 7/20
Dredd (687) - Bentleigh, AUSTRALIA - APR 17, 2012
I think most people on tasting this would come to the same conclusion, for happoshu, this ain’t half bad. Aroma is a bit of a let down, quite corny, but appearance and flavor wise it would fool most casual drinkers. This is certainly closer to a real beer than earlier happoshu’s ever were.

   AROMA 4/10   APPEARANCE 2/5   TASTE 4/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 10/20
faroeviking (10293) - FAROE ISLANDS - MAR 23, 2012
Yellow boring colour from la lata. Nada de espuma. Mild grainy aroma. Thin mouthfeel. Something bitter, grainy, herbal....
