Bottled. Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is rice, malts, some slight grassy and floral notes. Flavour is the same along with some mild grains. Quite thin bodied and watery palate.

On a whim that big silver can beckoned. Pours a pale straw yellow with a big fluffy head that falls quickly, but sticks a fair amount of sticky lace on the sides. Smells lightly of grainy malts, maybe some earthy floral hops. Uninspiring nose puts it mildly. Taste is grainy and slightly sweet, hints of tartness in there somehow with an astringent finish. Crisp carbonation, thin body and a watery mouthfeel. Well that’s not all that tasty. Its a thin bodied macro lager with almost no redeeming qualities, one and done for this one.

A pretty sorry excuse for a beer & not one that I’ll buy again. It wasn’t that it tasted bad, it’s just that it fell short in so many areas & really didn’t impress me. Drinkable but not really worth your while, I’d put this on a par with most of the mass-market pale lagers you can buy for a lot cheaper. * * * * * 1001 Beers: How many have your tried? -

A: The pour is a pale yellow/straw color with a short lived white head. S: Fairly minimal aroma here. Mild straw and malt/grain to it with a little bit of sweetness to it. Definitely a rice character to it, which is probably part of the reason it is so light. T: Light hop bitterness is surprisingly noticeable. Mild straw flavors as well as some hints of sweet malt and grain. The rice presence is noticeable here as well. M: Light in body with a moderate level of carbonation. O: Not an amazing beer, but it’s easy to drink, especially with a typical Japanese meals.

[330ml bottle, Peckham’s Stockbridge, Edinburgh] Clear golden yellow pour, decent white head with rising carbonation. Sweet malt and corn on the aroma. Similar tastes, with a ‘clean’ aftertaste being the case, except replace the word ‘clean’ with the word ‘no’. Far from disgraceful, it’s just decidedly average [15072008]

Can on Delta 278. Canadian brewed. Fruity, sweet, grainy aroma. Fake. Flavor of Sprite, sweet and fruity, and not very beer like at all. Not vile, but really like a shandy. Much worse than the Nama Kuro label in Japan.

Bottle: Clear, golden, stable creamy medium-sized white head; delicate honeyish-malty nose with a bitter-tart touch; mild bitter-sweet flavour, soft, not too light bodied; short tart-bitter finish. Unspectacular, reminds me somehow of japanese cars......
