Bottle from Tesco. Pale yellow copper beer with medium head and patchy lacing. Aroma of cereal grain and corn. The taste is pretty much the same with some faint hop bitterness in finish. Moderate carbonation. Drinkable with some flavour at least.

Sapporo has made its reputation as the leading beer in the Japanese Sushi Bars. Sapporo is technically a rice lager, as they use the rice to mass produce the beer in Japan. The rice lightens both the flavor and the color of the beer, but also reduce the alcohol content and the hop flavor. This beer is light and dry, and pairs perfect with sushi since it will not overpower the flavors of the sashimi or sushi rolls. Enough said, that's why it's the perfect beer for the sushi lovers!! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from local supermarket. Says EU brewed. Pale gold colour, with a small white head. Aroma of malt and rice. Rather thin body. Average carbonation.

Unspectecular light yellow clear in colour with a fast fading off white head. Noses of straw, barnyard and some barley. Fizzy with a watery texture with a light body. Finish is a bit dry. Other than with seafood pretty bland.

Appearance: pours a small 3/4" head that recedes at a moderate rate. Faint lacing. Clear golden color with moderate carbonation. Aroma: smell of lightly toasted malt, I don’t really detect any hop aroma Mouthfeel: very dry and crisp, somewhat watery with fairly significant carbonation. Flavor: sweet malts, nothing challenging, maybe a hint of hops (slightly ’musky flavor) Overall: Very easy drinking, crisp, refreshing.

This beer has a bitter taste, but not in a good way. It’s a bit chemical as well.
