Clear light yellow, fizzy, foamy head, grainy aroma, metallic taste.

Ouch. The alcohol really shines through on this one. Not my thing at all. It seems heavily adjunct-laden and nasty.

Nothing special for me here… Too much of a heavy malty taste up front followed by an unfavorable bittersweet finish.

22 oz can. Typical golden lager appearance, but with decent head; nose is somewhat unpleasant when just poured but softens and ’freshens’ a bit into a slightly farm-like aroma; yes, new grass and the barnyard is better than many beer stenches out there! Flavor sweetish, crisp, just a tad of hops at the end. Not bad, but not worth $3 either.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Head is initially large, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy medium yellow, light density of tiny particles. Aroma is lightly malty (light bread, grain), lightly hoppy (herbs), lightly yeasty (dough), with a hint of chalk. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately bitter. Finish is moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, metallic.

Nice, clean lager with a small bite...good with spicy foods. The can is a good selling point and the beer was worth 2 bucks. However I wouldn’t write home about it.

My first experience with Japanese beer. Not bad, just nothing special. A little more flavor and less sourness than it’s American counterparts but still nothing to make me want to buy it again except maybe with spicy food.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 10/20
Probably one of the better Japanese beers out there, but I probably wont buy it again unless Im at P.F. Chang’s or something. I couldnt find anything bad about it, but I found nothing special about the ’finest’ european hops and barley that that it claims.

This beer is a total waste of money. Its labeled malt liqour and while it tastes better than a cool steel reserve I would not recommend buying one. If your looking for a good CD player go japanese if your looking for a good lager, than look elsewhere.

Nice clean lager, nothing special. I don’t know what makes this reserve, but its a good refreshing session beer. Probably the most intriguing aspect was the can. It is uniquely shaped and indestructsable! They must make it out of titanium or something. I was only abvle to crush it after repeated trys and ended up having to step on it. Much better than those crappy American cans.
