22oz can. Light gold with a sturdy white head. Herb, leaf, metal, and soap aroma. Slightly honeyish, crackery malts with an abrasively bitter herbal finish that really isn’t too bitter. Light body with lively carbonation. Not terrible, but the bitterness in the finish is not jelling with the watery malt profile.

(bottle). Clear gold color. Medium white head. Light grainy aroma and flavor. Short duration. Smooth finish. Thin texture. Moderate carbonation. Spare lacing.

Aroma of light grass and noticeable malt. Orange tinged gold coor with a white head that collapsed, but left some lacing. Medium+ mouthfeel; low carbonation; sort of a warm malt foundation, and there is definitely some decent pilsener type hop in the finish. If it was not quite so malty, and had a bit more hop, I’d think it actually was a pilsener. Way better than Bud.

Nothing special for me here… Too much of a heavy malty taste up front followed by an unfavorable bittersweet finish.

Canadian Version. Not much going on here. I do hold the notion that I liked this better when it was Japanese. Very run of the mill.

Clear copper with a lot of carbonation. The head left without much to say. Toasted malts. Some caramel and some fruits in the hops. A touch of a buttery aroma. The caramel is stronger with a lot more of the toasted malts. Some bitterness there at the end. Thick and malty body. Husky finish.

Bottle at Mikado in downtown Indianapolis, IN. Small off-white fizzy head that mostly diminished, fair lacing, transparent, carbonated, and a yellow hue. Malty and some hops in the nose. Flavor was malty and somewhat bitter. Smooth palate. Light body.

Big ol’ bottle. This is okay, but it goes much better with a shot of sake dropped in your glass. (Sake Bomb!!!!) Overall, nothing special but not disgusting. Hints of rice, barley and weak hops make this one an expensive version of cheap American swill.
