1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Capa (1544) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 22, 2007
Pours a crisp gold with a large fluffy white head. Aroma is uninspiring. Slightly sweet malts with just a touch of hops, and metal. Body is medium to light with plenty of fizz. Flavor is of sorta sweet. I don’t notice any hops, but there is some malt in it. It’s not terrible, but it’s trying.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 DarkMagus (433) - San Jose, California, USA - JAN 26, 2007
Clear golden color. Minimal, rapidly dissipating head. Very light, somewhat faint, sweet, malty aroma. Malty, sweet, hoppy flavors. Pretty basic, but well-balanced. Not bad. A decent offering from a Japanese macro.
1.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20 tenghave (402) - Taastrup, DENMARK - JAN 9, 2007

Yebisu Premium All Malt Traditional Lager Beer. 50 cl. can. Nice golden colour with a big average lasting head. Aroma of malts and hops. Fresh flavour of slightly toasted malts, little hoppiness, touch of sweetness and little bitter-sweet aftertaste. A pretty good brew, one of the very best "lighter" brews from Sapporo.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 eaglefan538 (2726) - Wilmington, Delaware, USA - DEC 6, 2006
Maybe a touch above the Kirin, Sapporo, and Asahi macros I’ve been drinking here in Japan, but not by much. Lots of rice and phony malts underneat a beer that finished with a decent hop profile. However, this beer was originally served at something like 40F, so it clearly was in stealth mode, trying to avoid flavor detection. As it warmed, it just turned more and more adjunct-laden tasting. Appearance was originally golden with a nice white head, very decent lacing for a macro pale lager. An ok beer, definitely decent for a pale lager style, but just not worth my liver.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 jonno (1312) - JAPAN - NOV 13, 2006
UPDATED: DEC 2, 2009 A bit better than your average macrobrew...but only a bit...very light, although reasonably enjoyable taste
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Choos (507) - Taylors Hill, AUSTRALIA - OCT 16, 2006
Aroma: bland dusty lagery notes with a bit of malt. Apperance: yellow with a fluffy white head. Flavour: some malt, hop notes and a touch melony. Palate: ok mouthfeel but still thin.
