Can , 5.5%, Chez Dirtman, Yonago, Japan. Beaten gold, vanishing white lid. Typical Euro fizz aroma; adhesive, citronella. Heavily cereal accented, flat corn taste lingering with wafer and rubber. Not great.

350 ml can @ hotel room, Kyoto. Canned 08/2011, BBE 04/2011. Rated on 11.09.2011
Rather malty and grainy aroma. A bit fresh too. Flavour is bulky with grain, corn and some sweet malt. Starchy feeling and harsh hops on finish. Not good.

Bottle with Linh at yasuda. Pours a golden body with frothy head. Aroma is sweet bready malts. Mouthfeel is thin and carbonated with notes of bread and sweet malts. Nice decent lager. Plain but nothing offensive.

(blind-sampled at Election Day Pale Lager Challenge) Pours a clear golden with little, white head. Aroma is malty with a hint of bitterness. Medium carbonation, oily texture, medium body with a short, bitter finish. The taste is a medium, balanced bittersweetness. Girlfriend says: "Another one of those boring, tasteless beers."

Can. Pours a clear golden color with a decent white head. Light grassy and malty notes. Crisp. Easy to drink. Some malt in the background. Seems more like a Pils, but I can sense a little bit of hops. Pretty decent beer, actually!

I like the Yebisu. Malt , grass, hops and even a little lemon with a mild ricey edge. Good Japanese lager.

Rating from 07/2009. Can, gift from Japan. Golden color with medium white head. Aroma of grass, rice, some flowers. Taste, malty sweet, continues with lemon, light bitter finish. Refreshing, nothing more.

Bottle. Golden coloured beer. Dry start to the taste with malt then coming in. Hint of lemon as well. Of all the mainstream beers I tried in Japan it was my favourite.
