1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Sizzler80 (314) - Dublin, IRELAND - JAN 19, 2012
During my most recent visit to Tokyo I tried Yebisu Premium for the first time. Golden pour with small white head. Strong aromas of hops, co2, and malt and barley.
High carbonation, refreshing, slightly dry and bitter, very malty. Wouldn’t be falling over myself looking for it elsewhere.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 sulawang (418) - British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 18, 2012
pours golden yellow, minimal head, small carbonation, ringed retention, minor lacing. Malted barley and bread on the nose. Major malts and barley up front that persist through to the end. 3/10 sweetness, aggressive hoppy 6/10 heavy bitterness, lingers on the center of the tongue, bitter follow-through, long finish. Medium-bodied, low-medium complexity, long-finish, good carry. This is definitely a food-beer; it goes well with tonkatsu, curry rice, sushi, any Japanese food really. But as a session beer, not much in terms of explosive depth or flavour epiphanies. Watery finish.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pretty plain and boring beer. I guess it’s not too bad for a pale lager but nothing really sets it apart from all the other pale lagers in the world

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 laiti (4016) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 25, 2011
350 ml can @ hotel room, Kyoto. Canned 08/2011, BBE 04/2011. Rated on 11.09.2011
Rather malty and grainy aroma. A bit fresh too. Flavour is bulky with grain, corn and some sweet malt. Starchy feeling and harsh hops on finish. Not good.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 jredmond (4104) - Manhattan, New York, USA - SEP 24, 2011
Bottle with Linh at yasuda. Pours a golden body with frothy head. Aroma is sweet bready malts. Mouthfeel is thin and carbonated with notes of bread and sweet malts. Nice decent lager. Plain but nothing offensive.
