Cask@thevictoria, walsall. Pale amber in colour as name suggests. Large foam head. Very little aroma. Taste is hops with a twist of fruit and mild dry finish. A decent pint, a little weak in body though.

At last, Sarah Hughes do a session ale. 4%, and what you might expect. A dark golden colour, with nice carbonation. Aroma is relatively lacking, but the taste is one of light biscuity malt. There is a nice taste of light hop and a bit of fruit maybe. Tasty, but lacks something on the other two regular beers. However, the ABV reflects this.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Clear, golden-brown pour with a soft head. Lots of dried fruit and hearty toast on the nose. Lightly sweet flavor, more dried fruit, some leather, grass and leaves give bitterness. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Finishes fruity with mild sweetness and some lingering hops. Kind of alright.

Cask gravity at St Albans BF 09. Clear gold, thin off white head. Diacetyl aroma. Butter in mouth. Bit hard, like quite a few of the beers here. Like hard butterscotch sweets. Diacetyl just kills it. Grassy hop finish.

Cask - Planet Thanet Beer Festival ’09. Dark golden yellow/orange with a fine white head. Sweet honey and hoppy spiciness/grassiness combination of aromas. More of the same in terms of flavour. A relatively mild lingering bitterness with a smooth and crisp texture.

Cask in Blackfriars. Aroma is Pale and sweeter malts, grassy peppery hop. Taste is similar, the house yeast is key here and i just realed with this beer what it is, a slightly roasty burnt character it adds to the beer, which is fine with the dark ruby however distorts the lighter beers a bit.
