Black Country Beano. Cask at the Beacon hotel. Light haze on this gold beer, little white head. Mild carbonation. Light floral touch. Light marmalade hops. Light dry finish. It’s fine.

Cask at the Beacon Hotel, Sedgley, 06/07/13 on the RBBCBB. Clear blonde with a medium sized white head. Nose is on the thin side, light hops, summer fruits. Taste comprises toasty malt, summer fruit, light sugar, citrus notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light bitterness in the finish. Ok stuff, more Golden Blonde than bitter for me.

Cask@thevictoria, walsall. Pale amber in colour as name suggests. Large foam head. Very little aroma. Taste is hops with a twist of fruit and mild dry finish. A decent pint, a little weak in body though.

At last, Sarah Hughes do a session ale. 4%, and what you might expect. A dark golden colour, with nice carbonation. Aroma is relatively lacking, but the taste is one of light biscuity malt. There is a nice taste of light hop and a bit of fruit maybe. Tasty, but lacks something on the other two regular beers. However, the ABV reflects this.

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2013 Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Clear, golden-brown pour with a soft head. Lots of dried fruit and hearty toast on the nose. Lightly sweet flavor, more dried fruit, some leather, grass and leaves give bitterness. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Finishes fruity with mild sweetness and some lingering hops. Kind of alright. (3.5)

Cask at the Beacon Hotel during the RateBeer Black Country Bus Bash. Pours clear yellow with a creamy white head. Mild buttery dough in the nose. Light sweet flavor with odd grass and hay, some minerals. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly dry to finish with faint dough, hay and grass. OK but seems slightly out of sorts. (3.0)
