On gravity at the Old Tavern, Bristol 23/2/08. Amber coloured with no head. Sweet malt and grassy hop aroma. Flavour was cloyingly sweet with a chewy mouth feel and honey finish. Ok in small amounts.

Cask, Out of the Vaults, Leicester. Golden brown with a small foam. Aromas are toffee and pear with some spices. Quite sweet with evident alcohol. Flavours are sweet toffee and caramelised pear with brown sugar. Alcohol on the finish. Quite thick on the palate. Reasonable.

Gravity, Dover BF. Copper. No head by the time I got to sampling. Warm, nutty aroma that carries over pretty directing to the flavor. Alcohol is mild and not at all overbearing, but also not much in flavor complexity or intensity for the abv. Pleasant, but kind of subdued.
