Saranac Adirondack Amber is craft brewed with pure Adirondack water, bottom fermented and fully lagered to carefully balance the sweetness of two-row malt with the delicate bitterness of American Cascade and German Hallertauer hops. Look for a golden amber color and medium body. You’ll discover a distinctive flavorful beer that is deliciously drinkable. Enjoy!

From the bottle . Hazy amber with white head. Better than the commercial mega brewery lagers. But not anything too exciting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Somewhat cloudy light amber beer with a thin white head that dissipates quickly into a surface film. Slightly pungent nose with hints of sour dough, orange, and light malt, but overall the aroma is slight. Flavor is a bit bolder and is dominated by a single note of medium citrus hops with little else. The body is pretty good with tight bubbles, and it’s smooth, but unfortunately it’s also boring and non-descript. Decent beer, but not one I would ever seek out again.

Hazy amber, short off-white head. Woody/bark....caramel scent. Taste is slightly tea-like, a little bitter-leaning fruit.... Watery... But, not offensive, just a bit unexciting..

6/14/2011: Saranac Adirondack Lager... Aroma: Bready malt with a bit of floral hops, toffee, timid fruitiness. Appearance: Nice amber-copper color with a respectable beige-colored head. Flavor: Average, well-bleneded amalgamation of malt and hops without anything necessary jumping to the front; just a bit of fruity caramel malt, biscuit, and just a kiss of hoppiness; mild to moderate bitterness; finishes slightly dry. Palate: Overall: Much better than expected from a "lager" as this is more like a nearly full-flavored ale with just the right amount of hops for the style (more like an Amber Ale or weaker English Bitter).

12 fl. oz. bottle from Kroger in Harrison, Ohio. Rating #715 for this beer.

Bottle from Shawn. Thanks! Light amber pour with a white head. Nose is rather seltzery. Some grain, grass, and toasted bread. Mild yeast, soap, and a hint of floral hops. The flavor is really just fizzy and abrasive. Seltzer water, grain, floral hops, and grass. Light toast, soap, bread, and yeast.
