COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saranac Adirondack Amber is craft brewed with pure Adirondack water, bottom fermented and fully lagered to carefully balance the sweetness of two-row malt with the delicate bitterness of American Cascade and German Hallertauer hops. Look for a golden amber color and medium body. Youll discover a distinctive flavorful beer that is deliciously drinkable. Enjoy!

Reviewed from notes. Consumed May 16, 2012. The appearance is a pale amber colored body and gave a one finger white head that appeared for a minute, fizzled and died. A fair amount of rapidly rising carbonation was seen all around. No lacing was left. The smell has a light graininess with some background hops. Some malts came out. The taste is grainy yet had a slight citrus going on - kinda weird, but that was what I noticed. On the palate, its about a light and slightly creamy, somewhat sessionable. Overall, this was an average German pilsener. Id have probably have it again depending upon what else was served.

A very drinkable summer lager. It has a really nice color, and a nice, clean aroma. A simple beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From the bottle . Hazy amber with white head. Better than the commercial mega brewery lagers. But not anything too exciting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Somewhat cloudy light amber beer with a thin white head that dissipates quickly into a surface film. Slightly pungent nose with hints of sour dough, orange, and light malt, but overall the aroma is slight. Flavor is a bit bolder and is dominated by a single note of medium citrus hops with little else. The body is pretty good with tight bubbles, and its smooth, but unfortunately its also boring and non-descript. Decent beer, but not one I would ever seek out again.

Surprisingly decent vienna lager from Saranac. Mild, mellow, and malty with a medium body. Nice mouthfeel.

Light amber pour, mild head and lacing. Aroma is semi malty and grainy. Taste is malted caramel and dry. Decent lager. Easy to drink, light.

Hazy amber, short off-white head. Woody/bark....caramel scent. Taste is slightly tea-like, a little bitter-leaning fruit.... Watery... But, not offensive, just a bit unexciting..

6/14/2011: Saranac Adirondack Lager... Aroma: Bready malt with a bit of floral hops, toffee, timid fruitiness. Appearance: Nice amber-copper color with a respectable beige-colored head. Flavor: Average, well-bleneded amalgamation of malt and hops without anything necessary jumping to the front; just a bit of fruity caramel malt, biscuit, and just a kiss of hoppiness; mild to moderate bitterness; finishes slightly dry. Palate: Overall: Much better than expected from a "lager" as this is more like a nearly full-flavored ale with just the right amount of hops for the style (more like an Amber Ale or weaker English Bitter).

12 fl. oz. bottle from Kroger in Harrison, Ohio. Rating #715 for this beer.
