COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saranac Adirondack Amber is craft brewed with pure Adirondack water, bottom fermented and fully lagered to carefully balance the sweetness of two-row malt with the delicate bitterness of American Cascade and German Hallertauer hops. Look for a golden amber color and medium body. Youíll discover a distinctive flavorful beer that is deliciously drinkable. Enjoy!

12oz bottle from a sampler. Pale and clear amber with a generous white head that fades relatively quickly. For some strange reason the aroma reminds me a cottage lake but in a good way...not much else to add to that apart from light malt. Moderate carbonation and mild body, mild sweetness, carbonation becomes more prevelant on the finish, slight caramel as well. Not bad actually and I would probably choose it over some of their other offerings.

Pours a nice copper color with a quickly disappearing white head. Aroma of grain, bread, and caramel. Flavor of caramel malts, bread, and light grassy hops. Decent.

Clear pale amber beer. Watery but crispy palate. Watery malt that just irritates, like a mass produced lager. A light hop touch canít really redeem it. Pretty grim.

Very nice lager. Smooth going down. Very easy to drink. Not too filling. I could drink this beer on a nice summer evening or in the dead of winter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pretty dead looking amber. A bit doughy on the nose. Hard to describe the flavour, cara malts and a bit toffee banana. Not that flash really.

Originally reviewed: 1/30/09. Got this in the mixed Saranac sixer. Pours a crystal clear slightly dark gold. Very small head present, disappears quickly, leaves little lacing. Smells really sweet. I smell honey, apples, some citrus. Great mouthfeel on this one. Very creamy and smooth. Not watery like some brews of this style are. Some slight hop bite to this. Itís faint, but itís there. Malt is the main player, but not overly so. This is a really well-done beer in my mind. This would be my new session lager if I could find it in a 6-pack here. Recommend.
