Saranac Adirondack Amber is craft brewed with pure Adirondack water, bottom fermented and fully lagered to carefully balance the sweetness of two-row malt with the delicate bitterness of American Cascade and German Hallertauer hops. Look for a golden amber color and medium body. You’ll discover a distinctive flavorful beer that is deliciously drinkable. Enjoy!

Nice looking and smelling beer. After that, it is pretty average in a drinkable way. Good mix of hops/malt, which is another way of saying not enough of either.

Clear amber. Decent white head fades quickly. Light malt taste with a hops finish. Nothing exotic, but a good amber lager.

Nice head lots of carbonization lots of tongue feel and a little throat feel malty flavor that stays with you but, a little tar like flavor, bitternes on first taste and swallow that stays with you long after beer is gone.

UPDATED: JUN 10, 2009 Caramel in nose with a bit spicy hops. Mild hoppiness in swallow. Quickly dissipating head tops a crisp amber body. A good session lager equally at home with dinner or as a lawn mower beer. Nice balanced profile.

Clear amber color, small white head to top it off, and a slightly malty, caramel aroma-light bodied with medium carbonation, the flavor is sweet and malty up front, with a lingering sweet finish that is well balanced between the malts and hops. A standard amber ale from Saranac, this one is slightly better than a lot of ambers, but amber ales always seem a little tame to me.

Nice malty carmel aroma light amber in color with a nice white head that left a fair amount of lace.Taste wise was kind of oily malt taste with not much hops. I agree with some other reviews that something is missing from this brew. Overall a decent beer that's easy to drink.

not as deep as i'd like from an amber. seemed a little under-carbonated, perhaps. not much hop, or much flabor really.

Caramel in colour, but a tad light for an ’amber’ beer. Hoppy smell, which is a false indication of the flavour. Very light in taste, not much to it!

Big head on the pour fades to leave a clear amber body topped by a medium eggshell head. Aroma is earthy hoppy supplemented by a bit of caramel maltiness. Flavor is unimpressive, mild earthy hoppy but not much else. Kind of just sits there. A perfectly adequate beer, but I expect more.

I think this beer will come to mind when someone asks me to describe a basic, simple beer. "Balanced" may be the charitable way of putting it, but you might also just say this has a little bit of everything with every element in mild proportions. A bit o’ malt, a bit o’ hops (especially coming out in the aroma, a rather nice feature of this beer, being floral and promising), a bit of carbonation but certainly not overdone. I don’t know what it does particularly well but....
