Saranac Adirondack Amber is craft brewed with pure Adirondack water, bottom fermented and fully lagered to carefully balance the sweetness of two-row malt with the delicate bitterness of American Cascade and German Hallertauer hops. Look for a golden amber color and medium body. You’ll discover a distinctive flavorful beer that is deliciously drinkable. Enjoy!

UPDATED: NOV 28, 2005 Dec 2001: Very pleasant, but simple. Above average for the brewer I’d say. Nice color, average head; good caramel note in the aroma; clean, sweet, crisp initial taste which fades and becomes rather boring at the end. 7/3/6/3/13 3.2

Nov 2005: Smallish fizzy head immediately dying into a translucent, thin cover atop a totally clear amber body...light caramel nose, hints of cherry and pine, pretty indistinct and weak...body quite watery, lightly sweet and a bit grainy, seems to be some saccharine or other artificial sweetener taste there that really helps to kill it...bit of smokiness fails to redeem a fairly bad vienna.

I thought that this beer was reasonably well hopped for a pale ale. What i did not like about this beer was the fact that amber was a strech in the color department and it had a thin again dare I say adjuncty maltiness that prevented me from really enjoying this beer.

Cider-colored, with 1/2’ head that lingers. Engaging malty aroma. Mellow, tart, clean, crisp flavor. Standard palate with trailing bitters. Brewers take note: This is the way to use Cascade hops, if you have to! Refreshing beer. I’m pretty impressed with Saranac.

Clear amber, nice creamy white head, nose is hard to detect, i get nice malt with a touch of hops. Nice malt profile with an earthy bitterness to finish it up. Nice body, pretty drinkable..well done. Hops come through the more you get into it. Interesting hops.

Great color, and surprisingly well balanced. Solid malt and hops throughout.

Tastes more like an ale than a lager to me. Rather smooth, I found this to have a nice malty flavor with very little bitterness. Hops are prevalent, something I wasn’t quite expecting.

Very good amber beer, smells and tastes a bit hoppy. Goes down smooth, but still slightly watery.
