COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saranac Adirondack Amber is craft brewed with pure Adirondack water, bottom fermented and fully lagered to carefully balance the sweetness of two-row malt with the delicate bitterness of American Cascade and German Hallertauer hops. Look for a golden amber color and medium body. You’ll discover a distinctive flavorful beer that is deliciously drinkable. Enjoy!

Another summer beer from Saranac, not much to this one either. It's good ice cold on a hot day, but nothing else about really stands out. The B&T, Black Forest and Scotch Ale are the best Saranac has to offer.

Refreshing beer. Pours golden, surprisingly thick head. good yeast aroma. A beer that you could have more then one of at a time.

Dark gold on the pour, reddish-honey colored in glass. Smell of hops and malt (slightly bread-like) permeates, but aroma is weak overall. Flavor is mildly sweet in beginning, and bitter at end. Smooth on palate with medium body. Nothing too special here.

Good mixture of malts and hops in the aroma. Off-white, almost orangey head which never quite went away and left cream-colored trails down the side of my glass as I drank. The color was an absolutely perfectly clear medium coppery brown. nice malt flavor on first taste with a bit of caramel-like sweetness to it, but not overly so. There were hints of fruit here as well, although they didn’t really dominate in any way but had to be looked for somewhat. This is balanced nicely with the hop flavor, which comes out especially on the finish. Carbonation level is good - not so high that it’s fizzy and a nice accent to the hop-induced bitterness, especially in the finish. It’s definitely a medium-bodied beer, a bit richer in flavor than many of the lighter summer brews.

Amber in color. Looks a lot like a pale lager or a pale ale. Light, malty aroma. Thick, frothy white head. Taste is pretty bland, but not offensive. Overall, a decent lager.

The thin off white head does not last too long but the body is a nice amber. The malty aroma isn’t great with moderate bitterness in the taste. Decent but nothing special. I wouldn’t go out of my way buy it again

Nose? Amber, foamy head that is pretty sticky. Not a lot fo flavor, more hops than I expected. Good lawnmower beer

12oz bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with off-white head that quickly disappears. Getting a lot of sweet toasted malts off the nose with a little herbal hop. Taste is sweet with grainy cereal and toffee notes. There is a bit of hop bitterness to balance things out. Not up there with a good German marzen, but still a solid beer from Saranac.

UPDATED: JUN 10, 2003 By no stretch is this one of the better ambers yet i did find its taste a bit interesting and rather enjoyable for a change.
