brewed with pure adirondack water - and that is the predominant taste here. the malt and hops keep coming and going - continuously overpowered by the water. some warmth at the back of the throat, but otherwise, nothing special at all.

not as deep as i'd like from an amber. seemed a little under-carbonated, perhaps. not much hop, or much flabor really.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
UPDATED: DEC 10, 2005 Bottle. Aroma is sweet, malt, citrus, honey, but...not too pleasant. Slightly skanky. Pours amber gold with a thin white head. Flavor of honey, none bitter hops. Finishes with distinctly non floral hoppyness. Feels thicker than most other lagers, but not overly so. Eh. It’s not bad, its just nothing special.

Pours an apple juice color with a bit of off-white head and a little carbonation. Aroma is biscuit dough and malt. Flavor is flat and unexciting. A lot of dough and blandness. What an uninteresting beer.

Slightly hoppy, slightly spicy, slightly malty. Unfortunately, it’s just slightly everything. The only intense flavor is the blandness. Nothing special whatsoever.

Nice head lots of carbonization lots of tongue feel and a little throat feel malty flavor that stays with you but, a little tar like flavor, bitternes on first taste and swallow that stays with you long after beer is gone.

Another pretty beer by Saranac, once again looks great in the glass. When I got this on tap I thought something was wrong with the keg, almost no flavor. Good lawnmower beer.

Clear, amber brew with thick, foamy tan head.Aroma is like fresh homemade bread with notes of hops. Very smooth, medium bodied, creamy, ends clean like water. Mild nutty, hops flavor. Decent brew, not great, not drain pour.

Waayyy too malty for the style. Saranac does this with all their beers; if you can’t afford hops don’t open a brewery.

Shocking manure-like aroma on first sniff. Very light on the hop.
Excellent thick head that dissapates slowly leaving a graceful lace on the side. The color is light copper or deep gold. Crystal clear.
The hop makes an appearance in the tasting; still with this malt, this is closer to a mild than a pale ale. There is an interesting sourness in the flavor (like a mandarin orange). The beer has a moderate to full body with a high level of carbonation.
Frankly, a little disappointing, particularly from Saranac. I’ll finish this one, but won’t necessarily seek another.
