Saranac Adirondack Amber is craft brewed with pure Adirondack water, bottom fermented and fully lagered to carefully balance the sweetness of two-row malt with the delicate bitterness of American Cascade and German Hallertauer hops. Look for a golden amber color and medium body. You’ll discover a distinctive flavorful beer that is deliciously drinkable. Enjoy!

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2011 Bottle. The pour was a light to medium amber with a brownish hue and a thin (less than 1 finger) white head that was fully diminishing and had poor lacing. The aroma was strong of a toasted caramel malt, a moderate odor of a pine hops and a very mild earthy yeast with just hint of nuttiness. It tasted very malty right up front with a sweet note of caramel then shifted to bitter hoppy flavor at the finish with the taste laying around for a while. The mouthfeel was very light in body and rather watery in texture with a lively carbonation. Overall nothing overly special about this brew, as microbrews go this is more like a domestic beer.

Pours clear light amber. Big off white head. Malty aroma of cookies, biscuits, light flowers. Moderately sweet malts, with just enough bitterness to cut am keep it from being cloying. Medium light and very carbonated mouthfeel, quite drinkable.

Great all around beer. Smooth taste and easy drink. Great beer for mixed crowds at a barbecue or tailgate.
