Nothing special here. It's light, but has just enough going on to tell its not mass market crap.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear deep gold with a frothy white head. Some spotty lace. Belgian yeast aroma on the sweet side. Light Belgian flavor with a mild hop profile. Easy to drink. Light palate with active carbonation.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Doofgoblin (145) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAR 28, 2013
Pours golden with small floaties and a white head. Aroma is malty and slightly spicy with a strangeness. Taste is spices, a little yeast, and malt. Finishes slightly bitter with hop notes and a strange lingering aftertaste. Not terrible not great but for the price it’s really hard to go wrong.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20 mensch (205) - Loveland, Colorado, USA - MAR 23, 2013
It’s a Single not a Pale. Light and clean, golden colored, light froth of white foam. Hints of lightly yeasty lemon and spice. More light flavors follow - tart, juicy fruit and subtle spice. A small suggestion of hop flavor and then a lightly dry and mineral finish. No flaws, lightly appealing. Did I mention this beer is kind of light? Too light for a lawnmowing beer, maybe a good rehydrator after a 20+ mile bike ride. Just worth it at $10/12 pack.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 kramer (3909) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 15, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear light gold body with a small frothy white head that faded to a thin film. The nose is very light, just a little bit of hoppiness and some minimal bready malt and a light yeastiness. The flavor is a bit on the non-descript side, not much of anything really sticks out. There’s a big of light yeast, some light floral hops, bready maltiness, but nothing that really excites you or catches your attention. Light bodied with a watery texture and fizzy forced carbonation. Rather boring beer overall.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 gwpom (292) - Akron, New York, USA - MAR 12, 2013
Golden amber coloring, sweet citrus nose, not a bad beer. But when I hear Belgian, I expect more. More body, more flavor, more ...oomph. This would be a great summer pale ale, but, Belgian... sorry, don’t see it.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Lightrider (186) - Bristol, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 8, 2013
Bottle into a goblet. Pour is a honey orange with a fine head. Aroma is that of citrus and bitter with co2. Taste is a nice hard edged bitter malt. Finish is a hard bitter. Nice pale.
3.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 rangerred (674) - Johnson City, Tennessee, USA - MAR 3, 2013
12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a clear light gold with a one finger white head. The abundant carbonation gives the head excellent staying power and there are nice globs of lacing clinging to the sides of the glass.
The aroma is, unfortunately, quite metallic but there is some clove and bubblegum poking through it all. Not enough to overcome the metal, though.
Thankfully the flavor is quite nice and really suprised me in a pleasant way. Lots of clove and bubblegum esters that I love in a BPA along with a nice dose of bready malt. There is a little bit of pepper towards the finish which is pleasantly dry with just a little bit of stickyness left on the lips.
Overall, I was suprised by this as the other offerings I have had from Saranac have been less than impressive. While not on the same level of a beer like Ommegang, a good value and one i wouldn’t hesatate to pick up again.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 jmcgavin12 (201) - Madison, USA - FEB 26, 2013
Pours golden with a lasting head. Aromas of malt and a bit of citrus Also a bit of spice. Sweet taste with a medium body that finishes crisply. Not the best for the style but good for the price

Clear yellow pour with small white head. Nose and flavor is very reminiscent of a bluemoon. Orange zest and coriander, but flavor also has a slight citrus hop bite. Very small though. This was my favorite of the pack.
