Test vom 30.12.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,7,8,7,8,7 - 7,20

Hazy golden wit with a thin creamy white head. Fresh sweet fruity aroma, like a tequila sunrise. Sweet oxidized malt with not much character, rather thin. Tasted Spring 2006.

Bottle... Hazy golden ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Doesn’t look like any wit I’ve ever seen... doesn’t smell or taste like one either. Mostly nondescript aroma and flavor - barely perceptible yeastiness with only a rumor of honey. Perfectly-balanced, but thin and bland. Inoffensive, but so is seltzer water. Light to medium-bodied with tickling carbonation. Short, crisp, clean finish. No spices; no fruit peels; no esters; no phenols. Nothing Belgian or wit-like about this one. The perfect beer if you’re into “not quite” or “why bother?”

Ratman197 (7633) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - DEC 17, 2011
Bottle courtesy of adneilsen (thanks Aaron) poured a cloudy gold with a lasting white head. Aromas of wheat, yeast, coriander and citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of wheat, yeast, light coriander and light citrus with a crisp yeasty finish.

12 oz bottle. Deep golden colour, thin white head. Big coriander notes over some heavier malts. Leafy and tobaccoish flavours with some strong vegetal musty flavours. Really dank and stale tasting. Slick oily texture. Yet another poor offering from Saranac.

DocLock (6800) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 31, 2004
Tried this after 6 months in my garage refrigerator as part of the 12 beers of x-mas collection. Pours slightly turbid off yellow, with intense aromas of spice, oranges, coriander, and honey. Alcohol is well hidden, and this beer finished very smooth and refreshing. I think the average is way low on this one.

Drake (6507) - Ivy, Virginia, USA - AUG 29, 2008
12 oz. bottle. Slightly hazy orange with almost no head. Yeast aroma with a candy-like sweetness. Flavor is pretty much the same. Little spice is evident. Watery.
