Medium Amber with almost no head, strong citrus aroma, has a hoppy bite to this. Hop heads should really like this. Not to bad overall, just wasn’t up "my alley".

A nice and drinkable beer, but it just isn’t quite on par with the real and better wits out there.

Overall Impression: Solid, pretty standard Belgian White, typical of Saranac.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange body with a white head. Dusty wheat, citrus and coriander with a light lemon apple, its not bad for what it is.

A boring Belgian White with very little taste of citrus and coriander. Nothing special.

Nothing really wrong with it; just nothing to it. A kind of spritzy, apply flavor. Pretty thin.

Impressive aroma of wheat malt, spice (coriander, according to the bottle) and citrus (lemony, not orange peel as the bottle suggests). Very smooth, full, and round. Appropriately cloudy, straw yellow. Disappointing head: not very thick nor very long-lasting. some lace Lots of citrus up front in the flavor. The wheat malt comes through immediately thereafter, then it settles into a predictable sourness. Full bodied (probably from the oats) and chewy with excellent carbonation (very fine and plentiful bubbles). Overall, I like this beer because it is refreshing, smooth, and not overly tart (as are some Belgians).

Bottle... Hazy golden ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Doesn’t look like any wit I’ve ever seen... doesn’t smell or taste like one either. Mostly nondescript aroma and flavor - barely perceptible yeastiness with only a rumor of honey. Perfectly-balanced, but thin and bland. Inoffensive, but so is seltzer water. Light to medium-bodied with tickling carbonation. Short, crisp, clean finish. No spices; no fruit peels; no esters; no phenols. Nothing Belgian or wit-like about this one. The perfect beer if you’re into “not quite” or “why bother?”

Hazy golden wit with a thin creamy white head. Fresh sweet fruity aroma, like a tequila sunrise. Sweet oxidized malt with not much character, rather thin. Tasted Spring 2006.
