Ungstrup (11570), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 19, 2006 A dark brown beer with an OK brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of nuts, and some roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with quite a lot of roasted malt, giving it a dry mouthfeel, but also notes of cola, nuts, and a bit of soy sauce. The end is dry and quite roasted, but the body is a bit watery. Papsoe (11030), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 17, 2005 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Dark, very dark with a reddish tint. Filtered with a fine, creamy beige head. Soft water, but extremely dry and very bitter. Not really my style. Oakes (6999), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Nov 22, 2003 Updated: Oct 9, 2008Dark brown colour. Aroma of peanuts, light roast and brutally oppressive diacetyl. Watery and thin. Lots of diacetyl, also some cheap coffee roastiness. All told, pretty terrible stuff. joergen (6797), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 19, 2005 Bottled.
Clear brown coloured with a beige head.
Roasted aroma with notes of caramel and hops.
