Pours a dark red with frothy head. Aroma is full of caramel and sweet roasted malts. The taste is very sweet with a bit of a sick;ly sweet finish. I have always been a fan of this beer but I can see how others wouldn’t enjoy the sweetness of the beer.

Dark black pour. Little aroma. Head does not linger. Not as bitter as color would make you think. Actually not bad and drinkable for a dark beer.

A pretty weak beer it is indeed. A nice two finger tan head when poured into a pint glass. Almost black, very dark brown beer. Lacing evident after drinking half of the glass. Not much aroma. Fizzy on the tongue, but shortly after it’s pretty soft and thin, no lasting tastes. An ok beer.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 GuillaumeCL (309) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 18, 2013
Thanks Luc for the bottle. Pours an opaque black with a moderate amount of tan head that dissipates quickly. Smell is quite roasty, with some chocolate and a fair bit of sweet caramel. Palate is light bodied with a bit of carbonation. Taste is slightly sweet at first but then gets a bitter and very roasty taste that goes away fairly quickly. Aftertaste is a bit watery and a bit roasty but not very long. It’s not bad.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Lightrider (184) - Bristol, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 10, 2013
Bottle into a goblet. Pour is a nice dark brown, almost black with a fine head. Looks like a porter. Aroma is a nice roasted malt with a hop back. Taste is of toasted grains with a light hop. Finish is a nice warm roast. A good ale.
